Katusu Konda is a peak in the Hanthana Mountain Range in Sri Lanka, located about 14 kilometers from the city of Kandy. Its name means "Lizard's Back" in Sinhala, which aptly describes the shape of the mountain ridge - narrow and sharp like a lizard's spine.
Katusu Konda is a popular destination for hiking and camping, especially among adventurous travelers. The hike to the summit is challenging, with steep slopes and narrow paths, but the breathtaking views from the top are worth the effort. On a clear day, you can see the Knuckles Mountain Range, the University of Peradeniya, Kandy City, Monaragala, Alagalla, and Hunnasgiriya.
