Our Story

I, Shashika Gunarathna; am a small entity in this vast universe, who is fascinated by all things around me. Born and bred in Colombo and a proud Royalist, I completed my education with a degree in Information Technology awarded by London Metropolitan University. Changing my career from IT to photography I joined the Indranatha Thenuwara Photo Academy and completed the studies with a distinction.

I am fascinated with tiny moments the life offers. I have flair to capture the magical moments that everybody else misses. When people are looking at sun rise; I like to look at the shadows it makes, when people are looking at sea waves; I look at the designs it makes on the sand. I like to have a different view on everything, on everything that happens around me. I am eager to listen to the music of the universe and dance to its tune.

I try to capture everything abstract with my digital eye, Happiness and Sorrow of the people, their smiles and tears, seasons of the nature, and to preserve those memories for the future.

To my clients I am a non-conventional Wedding, Portrait and Lifestyle photographer. Whether it is Wedding, Portrait or Baby photography, I have always tried to move away from the traditional exposures. A glimpse of the work that I have so far done can be seen here, on my page.
