■ ALL GUIDELINES & CIRCULATION FOR COVID - 19 ■

● VISA PROCEDURE

▪︎1. All arrivals from United Kingdom and any nationals, who have been in UK during last 14 days are not allowed to enter Sri Lanka with online ETA for the purpose of tourist. Accordingly, ETA applicants are strictly advised to follow the instructions below during the Application process.

▪︎2.Russia, Ukraine, Tajikistan, Armenia, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Moldova, Azerbaijan, Lithuania, Latvia, Georgia and Kazakhstan nationals currently reside in Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan are allowed to enter Sri Lanka with Tourist ETA for the purpose tourist. Only the above nationals who are currently residing in Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan are allowed to apply for the visa.

▪︎3. Visitors from Cameroon, Nigeria, Ivory Coast and Ghana, who intend to apply ETA may apply through Sri Lankan sponsor for their ETA from the Head Office of the Department of Immigration & Emigration Sri Lanka.

▪︎4. Other nationals apart from the above are allowed to apply for the ETA through the online ETA system.

▪︎5. It is strongly advised to all applicants, before requesting ETA permission to consult the airlines with permission & approval for departure to Sri Lanka from those countries and get directions and check the flights availability in advance to apply ETA to avoid unnecessary payments on the official ETA site. The hotel will issue a reference number which will be automatically checked with your passport during the application process of ETA. Please be noted that, this is a mandatory requirement and if you did not follow the aforementioned procedure prior to applying for the visa, your visa will not be approved and the visa fee will not be refunded.

▪︎6. Under any circumstance on arrival ETA will not be issued to any tourist and all airlines are strictly advised to follow the guidelines issued by CIVIL AVIATION AUTHORITY OF SRI LANKA FOR LANDING PERMISSIONS and check the ETA before boarding passengers to Sri Lanka.

▪︎7. It will be noticed the approval of ETA by an email to the applicants who have obtained that ETA permit will be allowed to land to Sri Lanka only for the truly purpose of tourist, subject to the Government health quarantine procedures and Immigration & Emigration regulations.


● HEALTH GUIDELINES FOR TOURISTS

▪︎1. Tourists must arrive through Charter Flights, Scheduled Flights or Private jets to Katunayake and Mattala Airports.

▪︎2. Arrival of Tourists would be decided by the testing capacity of the private laboratories as determined by the Ministry of Health and Minister of Tourism jointly.

▪︎3. Dual Citizens or Sri Lankan spouses of foreign passport holders any paid commercial passengers with foreign passport must follow the tourist route under the same guideline.

▪︎4. These guidelines exclude Business Visas.


● VISA

▪︎1. Visa is permitted for all countries, unless specifically mentioned otherwise.

▪︎2. In addition to Visa fees, cost for two PCR tests and COVID Insurance will be levied through the Tourism App.

▪︎3. Visa must be processed online. Click here to access the online visa portal.

▪︎4. It is mandatory for passengers to make the payment for two PCR tests if the visit is up to 7 days or three PCR tests, if the visit is for more than 7 days as decided by the Medical officer of Health.

▪︎5. Passengers are also required to have a COVID-19 Insurance cover for the period of one month and this could be paid for through the Tourism Mobile App or at the time of the hotel booking or when purchasing airline ticket.

▪︎6. Passengers must also have a pre-confirmed hotel booking up to 14 days. Details of the international travelers should be sent to the area Medical Officer of Health when issuing visa and should continue to update until their arrival at the respective hotels.

● PRIOR TO BOARDING

■ BELOW REQUIREMENTS ARE MANDATORY

▪︎1. Negative PCR Test taken 96 hours before boarding from an accredited laboratory.

▪︎2. Health declaration to be filled and submitted prior to boarding flight, on flight or on arrival.

▪︎3. Mandatory COVID-19 Insurance cover for at least LKR 05 million equivalent in USD.


● MINIMUM STAY IN HOTEL

▪︎1. All travelers should stay their initial 14 days in a safe & secure certified hotel (Level 1).

▪︎2. During the first 14 days the guest is permitted to stay in more than one certified safe & secure level 1 hotels, provided that the on arrival PCR test result is negative and travelling under a bio-security bubble.

▪︎3. Tourists are not permitted to move outside the hotel up to 14 days, except only to identified sites approved by the COVID Taskforce, in consultation with the Ministry of Health; under a bio security bubble, after the on-arrival PCR test result is negative.

▪︎4. Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority must make arrangements using appropriate methods to carry out continuous assessments and audits to ensure the safety and security standards of Certified Safe and Secure Level I Hotels are maintained.

▪︎5. Hotels must ensure effective access control measures are in place, in and around the hotel.

▪︎6. After 14 days stay in a certified safe and secure level 1 hotel, a guest is permitted to interact with the community, provided that the PCR tests results are negative.

● PRE-DEPARTURE PCR

A Negative report of a PCR test done by an accredited laboratory (within 96 hours prior to departure should be available at the time of Check-in)

● KR TESTING

▪︎1. Minimum number of PCR tests must be done for all passengers.

▪︎2. All PCR tests after arrival must be arranged by the hotel with a private sector laboratory approved by the Ministry of Health.

▪︎3. Wherever possible, all PCR tests of a given traveler should be carried out by a single laboratory.

▪︎4. On arrival PCR test should be conducted prior to checking in at the hotel already booked by the traveler. This should be arranged by the hotel with a private sector laboratory approved by the Ministry of Health. Movements of the guests should be restricted to the minimum until the on arrival PCR test result is negative.

▪︎5. Second PCR test should be conducted 5-7 days after arrival.

▪︎6. In the event of longer stay, an additional PCR test should be conducted between 10-14 day at arrival.

▪︎7. All PCR Reports should be e-mailed by the private sector hospital to the Epidemiology Unit ([email protected]), COVID Taskforce
[email protected]), DC Ministry of Health ([email protected]_lk), DC Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority ([email protected]) and to the respective hotels, highlighting the Positive Test Reports. The hotel to upload the PCR test report to the Tourism Mobile App when implemented. Copy of the report to be given to the guest for his/her records. The Passport Number should be considered as the reference number, to ensure traceability of reports and payments.

● TRANSPORT

■ BELOW REQUIREMENTS ARE MANDATORY

▪︎1. Hotelier or Travel Agent to arrange Hotel/Travel agent. Independent transport for each group of Tourists.

▪︎2. No mixing of groups during transportation.

▪︎3. Hotel or the Travel Agent should have an advanced transport plan.

▪︎4. Domestic Flights permitted subject to strictly adhering to health protocols.

▪︎5. Travel Agents and Hotels to adhere to prevailing Health Guidelines of the Ministry of Health and Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority.

▪︎6. Transportation details should be informed to the area Medical Officer of Health, COVID Taskforce and DG Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority, once the arrangements are made.

▪︎7. Maintain a transport log with passenger details.

▪︎8. Inform the National Operations Center for Control of COVID-19 for contact tracing, area MOH and DG Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority of all details prior to arrival.

▪︎9. Unless attending in full PPE, quarantine all personal invoked in transportation for 14 days and inform COVID Taskforce and DG Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority inducting the details on location of the quarantine facility.

● TOUR GUIDES, DRIVERS & ASSISTANTS

■ BELOW REQUIREMENTS ARE MANDATORY

▪︎Adequate PPE, masks and sanitizer to be provided to personnel accompanying Tourists.

▪︎Quarantine facility for 14 days to be provided after the tour, unless attending in full PPE.

▪︎Accommodation provided during Tour to meet health & safety guidelines.

▪︎Medical Insurance including COVID-19 Insurance to be given to all personnel during the tour and subsequent 14 days.


● HOTEL BOOKINGS

■ BELOW REQUIREMENTS ARE MANDATORY

▪︎1. First 14 days only in certified safe & secure (level 1) hotels.

▪︎2. Hotel Certified as safe and secure hotel to be permitted to take bookings.

▪︎3. Tourist are not permitted to move outside the hotel for the first 14 days, except to approved tourist sites under a bio secure bubble.

▪︎4. Change of hotel within the first 14 days is allowed only among the certified safe & secure (level 1) hotels, under a bin security bubble.

▪︎5. Hotels, Travel Agents and Tour Operators to share accommodation booking details, transportation details and site visit details with the Area Medical Officer of Health and DG Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority immediately on making bookings and prior to any travel.

▪︎6. Pre-confirmed hotel booking is mandatory for to the first 14 days in one or more certified safe & secure (level 1) hotel.

▪︎7. Until 14 days from arrival, no interaction with the local community. Use of public transport even after 14 days is discouraged,

▪︎8. Ensure adherence to Health Guidelines at all times.

▪︎9. Use of common areas, spa and pool Permitted subject to adhering to general health guidelines including social distancing.

● NON-SYMPTOMATIC COVID-19 PCR POSITIVE PATIENTS

▪︎1. Initial isolation should be done in an isolation area in the same hotel under strict supervision of the designated Medical Officer of the hotel and the area Medical Officer of Health until the patient is transferred to a designated intermediate care center.

▪︎2. Tourism Development Authority should make arrangements to identify appropriate Intermediate Care Centers in consultation and approval of the Ministry of Health to accommodate asymptomatic COVID-19 patients.

▪︎3. Where isolation is not feasible {e.g., a large group positive for COVID-19 infection) alternative designated isolation hotel to be identified in advance, by the DIG/Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority,

▪︎4. Staff and other contacts should be managed according to the guidelines already in force under the guidance of the area Medical Officer of Health.

▪︎5. If symptomatic or on the decision of the designated Medical Officer of the hotel and/area Medical Officer of Health, the guest and any exposed guests will be admitted to a pre-arranged Private Hospital approved by the Ministry of Health.

● SYMPTOMATIC COVID-19 PCR POSITIVE PATIENTS

▪︎1. To be admitted to Private Hospital approved by the Ministry of Health.

▪︎2. The area Medical officer of Health should be informed.

▪︎3. COVID-19 Insurance to reimburse hospitals charges including Ambulance transfer up to LKR 01 million for a month.

● TREATMENT FOR OTHER CONDITIONS

▪︎1. Designated Medical Officer of the hotel to make the decision.

▪︎2. Patients in their first 14 days of visit should be treated only in hospitals identified for such purposes by the SLDTA and approved by the Ministry of Health.


● VISITS TO SITES

▪︎1. Arrangements are made to visit on a daily basis to the permitted sites, with time slots allocated for Tourists, only to travel in a bio safety bubble. Permission for the tourist sites is granted by the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority in consultation with the Ministry of Health, COVID Taskforce and the local health authorities.

▪︎2. Any special arrangements including stops for meals or toilet stops or any other stop must be indicated in the itinerary and should be done in consultation with the local health authorities of the respective areas where such stops are planned.

▪︎3. All persons accompanying tourist including tour guides, safari jeep drivers, bus drivers, other drivers, assistants, translators, unless attending in full PPE, should undergo 14 days quarantine under supervision of the local health authority including PCR testing.

▪︎4. The time periods allocated for Tourists will be published on Sri Lanka Tourism Website to avoid the risk of mixing with locals.

The Tour Manager/ leader/ interpreter may, at his or her discretion, require you to withdraw from any tour or activity, if the Tour Manager/ leader/ interpreter deems your conduct offensive or a nuisance to other tour participants, behave in a manner disrespectful to the local culture & customs, causes destruction to local flora & fauna and /or engage in conduct that would be considered a criminal offence, give rise to civil liability, or otherwise violate the law of any country.

■ PRICES, RATES & FARES ■

Unless otherwise indicated, all price rates shown are in United States Dollars, Euros, Sterling Pounds or Sri Lankan Rupees. Rates are per person basis. Accommodation will be sharing twin or double basis, a supplement for single room is applicable. Prices for villa are for the rental of the entire villa unless otherwise indicated.

Prices are based on current rates of exchange as of the date of your reservation. AQUAMARINE PARADISE SL reserves the right to increase tour prices to cover increased costs of tariffs, taxes, park fees and fluctuations in foreign exchange markets. Prices are in effect at the time of viewing the website and are subject to change at any time prior to departure.

AQUAMARINE PARADISE SL cannot be held accountable for any differences due to different exchange rates or transaction fees applied by different financial institutions and / or different dates. Refunds for price fluctuations are not possible since our charge is based on the exchange rate applicable on the day of payment.

All fees, interest or bank charges in arranging tele-transfer, wire transfer, bank draft or other money transfer method through a financial institution must be borne by you.

Upon your acceptance of our itinerary and quote, we will make tentative reservations and confirm all hotels and services which will be generally valid for 72 hours during low season and 24 hours during peak season. Low season in Sri Lanka is generally considered the period between May to October. Peak season is generally considered the period between November to April, and August. We will apply peak season terms if in our opinion an event of significant importance takes place during the low season.

In event you accept our tentative reservation and quote; a deposit of 60% of the tour cost is required in advance on confirmation to secure the booking and re-confirm all arrangements. If a deposit is not received at our offices within 72 hours during low season or 24 hours during peak season, from the time of reservations; booking is subject to cancellation. In event a supplier demands stricter payment terms, we will inform you of such terms as well as individual cancellation policy.

After receipt of deposit (60% as advance payment) by AQUAMARINE PARADISE SL, any change/s made to the reservation/s will incur a processing fee of $30 per change.

AQUAMARINE PARADISE SL will accept credit or debit cards for deposits. Balance payments are requested to be paid by cash after you arrived to Sri Lanka.

■ PROVISION OF SERVICES ■

All products & services offered on this our website are subject to availability and acceptance, at the discretion of the supplier of such product or service. In the event a product or service booked by you is not available, AQUAMARINE PARADISE SL shall use its reasonable endeavors to suggest an alternative product or service of similar pricing and quality.

In event a of hotel of similar pricing and quality mentioned in the quote is not available and only a lower category of hotel is available; this will be informed to you accordingly and the benefit (if any), will be passed on to you

In event of hotel of similar pricing and quality mentioned in the quote is not available and only a higher category/ more expensive hotel is only available; you will be informed accordingly and supplement (if any) will be charged to you.

Where the product or service is either not available or our suggested alternative (where applicable) is not acceptable to you but is fully paid, we shall make a refund in accordance with our refund policy.

If you fail to accept our suggested alternative product or service by the specified deadline, we reserve the right to cancel our tentative booking of the same.

We will do our best to make your rooms available on check-in. However, the standard hotel occupancy times are; Check in time 14:00 - 15: 00 hrs and Check out time 11:00 hrs - 12.00 noon. Early check-in and late check-out are subject to extra charge. Any unutilized accommodation or services will not be refunded. Any changes to hotels after confirmation of booking will be entirely at your own expense and payable direct to our local supplier.

■ITINERARY CHANGES MADE BY US■

AQUAMARINE PARADISE SL is committed to the highest levels of integrity and professionalism in ensuing you have an enjoyable tour. However there will be instances where adjustments to your itinerary need to be made due to exigent circumstances. This could be an event under exceptional circumstances (eg: over booking of hotel) which demand an immediate action from our end to ensure your tour continues with minimal disruption. Under such circumstances, we will refund you appropriately if the replacement hotel is cheaper and pay any additional transfer costs.

■ITINERARY CHANGES REQUESTED BY YOU■

AQUAMARINE PARADISE SL aims to offer our fixed tour packages or tailor-made, flexible itineraries to your satisfaction. You acknowledge that it once an itinerary is finalized, requests for changes to a group or individual itinerary will always be considered. You further acknowledge that any changes may incur cancellation charges and you will be charged for any additional services provided to you.

■ CUSTOMER CARE AND COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE ■

AQUAMARINE PARADISE SL is committed to providing a caring and professional service to you. You will be provided with appropriate contact details prior to travel and it’s your responsibility to keep the contact details safe. If you are unhappy with any aspect of our services, you must immediately bring it to the attention of the service provider (e.g. hotel) or our local representative in order to provide you with an immediate solution and rectify the problem whilst on tour. If the matter is not solved to your satisfaction, you must notify AQUAMARINE PARADISE SL within 24 hours, by email so that we can rectify the matter amicably to the benefit and contentment of all parties. It is only if you do this, that AQUAMARINE PARADISE SL has the opportunity to put matters right, without any undue delay. AQUAMARINE PARADISE SL reserves the right to refuse any liability or compensation if this arbitration process is not strictly adhered.

Notwithstanding the above, In the event if you take any irresponsible action by reporting any malicious or defamatory article which may cause harm or loss to AQUAMARINE PARADISE SL in any website, travel blog or other forum without any justification or concrete evidence, you may be subject to legal action and possible claim for damages for misreporting or malicious defamation of person or property.

All coupons, exchange orders, receipts, contracts and tickets issued by AQUAMARINE PARADISE SL are issued subject to any and all tariffs, terms, and conditions under which any services are provided by such hotels, airlines, bus companies, railroads, ship lines or owners or contractors or by their person in employ.

AQUAMARINE PARADISE SL shall not be liable for or responsible to any Tour Participant in the event of dissatisfaction with the standard of service or accommodation provided by any Service Provider or is liable or responsible for any disappointment, distress or lack of enjoyment arising from any act or omission whatsoever.

Under no circumstances is AQUAMARINE PARADISE SL to be construed as a carrier under contract for safe carriage of you or your baggage and belongings.

■ ACKNOWLEDGEMENT ■

The disclaimer, responsibility and limited liability of AQUAMARINE PARADISE SL as set out in this agreement are fundamental elements of the basis of the bargaining between you and AQUAMARINE PARADISE SL, and you agree that AQUAMARINE PARADISE SL would not otherwise be able to offer the products and services on its present basis without such limitations. This clause shall survive any termination of this agreement.

■ INSURANCE ■

You agree that it is your responsibility to take a holiday insurance policy (these could be organized in the respective country, prior to commencement of travel). AQUAMARINE PARADISE SL accepts no responsibility for costs which may occur as a result of you failing to secure adequate insurance coverage, which is highly recommended. Since penalties can be extremely high, we strongly recommend you purchase trip protection for the money you invest in such a trip.

■ INCLUDED IN TOUR PRICE ■

▪︎ACCOMMODATION

Accommodation is provided as described in each tour plan. Accommodation is usually in a shared twin-bed room with a supplementary charge for single occupancy. (But it would be change upon a discussion between us) We offer a wide selection of accommodation from luxury boutique hotels to camping in the wilderness. You should note that, some of our nature & adventure trips include traveling to remote or undeveloped outstation destinations. Hotel accommodation of International tourist standard may not exist & facilities are rudimentary. Sleeping huts & tents are simple & often lack Western-style toilets or bathing facilities. In such places, tour participants will be provided with the best available facilities. As Sri Lanka is a tropical country, you should be aware that insects in the room are a common occurrence, especially during warm months. Booking through us is an implicit acceptance of these facts.

▪︎MEALS

The package price may include meals as specified in each tour program. All included meal arrangements will be simple set menu meals, buffet or packaged lunch. Meals for Ayurveda packages will be traditional Sri Lankan meals. The menu will be recommended by your Ayurveda doctor based on your body constitution. Usually meat and alcohol is not served at exclusive Ayurveda resorts.

■ SIGHTSEEING & LAND TOUR SERVICES ■

You will be generally provided private transportation in an air-conditioned saloon car or micro bus if your party is below 7 persons (sometimes your guide will be your driver). Generally the services of a separate Guide lecturer from your language will be provided for groups of 8 persons and above (usually there will be a guide, a driver and a baggage assistant). Transport within National Parks or Nature reserves will generally be in safari vehicle and will depend on the terrain.

Following services are generally included in your tour price; transportation between the airports and hotels, baggage handling, sightseeing with guides from your mother tongue as mentioned in the itinerary and all entrance fees to attractions and activities as described in the itinerary. Transfers are not included when arriving or departing at the first destination gateway by means other than the scheduled flights, but can be arranged upon request at additional cost. Please read your final itinerary carefully, as your contracted itinerary may not include all services listed above.

■ NOT INCLUDED IN TOUR PRICE ■

Airfare to and from Sri Lanka, Airport taxes, passport cost of visas or other documentation, inoculation and vaccination fees, insurances of all kinds, airport transfers (unless indicated in individual tour descriptions), laundry, liquor, beverage, meals not indicated in your itinerary, excess baggage charges, tips, personal or baggage insurance, telephone or communication charges, optional excursions, any changes to the itinerary while on tour or any item of a personal nature.

The tour price also does not cover costs and expenses, including the return to your home, if you leave the tour at your own volition, or due to illness, or as a consequence of official action by the government of any country visited.

■ CHILD POLICY ■

Children below 2 years free of charge. Children between 2 and 12 years are given discount from 10% upto 80% (it will be depend upon age of the children) of the per person adult rate on transfers, excursions, and package tours provided they share room with two adults.

A maximum of two children per party are granted such discounts. Children who require their own rooms are charged as adults.

■ CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS ■

All arrangements are inclusive. Cancellation must be in writing and sent by you or your representative who made the booking on your behalf.

If you are going to cancel the tour by yourself after paid the advance payment (60% of the total invoice value) by your side, you must inform us about it BEFORE 10 to14 days TO arrival date, then we must refund your cash. (60% of total invoice value) IF NOT, SORRY we UNABLE to REFUND your cash. (60% of the total invoice value)

Because that we had have to pay prior advance payments for accommodation, transportations, restaurants, Tour guides & other reservations behalf of your tour Package. Their cancellations and refunds policies are different.

▪︎CANCELLATION BY US ▪︎

AQUAMARINE PARADISE SL is committed to the highest ethical and professional standards to ensure your tour is a smooth and happy experience. But, please be aware we might have to cancel your tour to avert certain risks and dangers that may arise due to incidence of Force Majeure beyond our control (see clause below). In such an event we will alternately offer a comparable booking for your consideration. We cannot be held liable for any incidental expenses that you may incur during arrangements for a booking that is subsequently cancelled by us.

■ FORCE MAJEURE ■

Due to the nature of some tours featured, changes may occur, without notice to the stated content or schedule of itineraries. Certain risks and dangers may arise beyond our control including, but not limited to war, terrorism, civil disturbance, pilferage, delays, severe weather, Acts of God, Acts of Government, accidents to or failure of machinery, equipment, vehicles, industrial disputes or local operational limitations beyond our control.

AQUAMARINE PARADISE SL reserves the right to cancel the whole or any part of a tour at any time as a whole or any part of a tour at any time as a result of force majeure or for reasons outside AQUAMARINE PARADISE SL 'S control, including but not limited to the failure of any third-party to perform.

AQUAMARINE PARADISE SL shall not be liable for damages of any kind arising out of any failure or delay in performing any or all of our obligations contained herein or in respect of any product or service if the failure or delay is due to circumstances or cause beyond our reasonable control. AQUAMARINE PARADISE SL will not have liability regarding provision of medical care or the adequacy of any care that may be rendered. It is understood you will take adequate travel insurance to cover any travel or medical eventualities.

■PHOTOGRAPHY, PHOTOGRAPHS & MAPS■

AQUAMARINE PARADISE SL reserves the right to take photographs during the operation of any program and to use resulting photographs for promotional purposes. If you or anyone in your group prefers that your images not be used, please notify your tour guide at the beginning of the program.

Photographs show places in geographic and historically significant areas, but are not necessarily included in the tour. Maps shown on the tour pages are for general information and may not accurately reflect actual routing.

■ INDEMNITY ■

In case of impossibility to settle contradictions you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Commercial High Court of Western Province in Sri Lanka or any other Court in Sri Lanka that will have jurisdiction to hear and determine matters where the cause of action arises out of a commercial transaction in the judicial district of Colombo without any restriction. The decision arrived in such a court shall be final and binding on all parties.
