Diwali Greetings.

Cable Solutions and its staff constantly strive to contribute towards the well-being of society. One such endeavor is the donation of lunch food packs
to the students of Waboda Maha Vidyalaya. It is a voluntary mission that was started exactly a year ago and continues to date.
At the beginning, it was 15 food packs a day and now it has gone up to between 30 to 40 packs a day! We received a certificate of thanks from the school for this. It is with great happiness that we
would like to thank our staff for their participation in this very noble cause. It truly warms the heart to see the generosity and kindness that our staff exhibit.
This is precisely what the Company strives for on the social front - inculcating a sense of doing good for others, wherever and however possible. The reward is the smiles on the children's faces and the countless blessings received. God Bless!

Monthly Staff Birthday Celebration – Birthday Bash September 2023

We recently initiated Celebrating the birthdays of our employees whose birthdays fall in that month, and it was a fun way to create a positive work environment.
It will be a unique combination of memories, emotions, and experience that helps one to celebrate life.

“A team of 15 Candidates at Cable Solutions Pvt Ltd (Sri Lanka) undertook an internationally recognized IPC/WHM-A-620E CIS training for Requirements and Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies.
Training was conducted onsite by licensed CIT Trainer Mr. Girish Fernandez from VGL ALLIED CONNECTORS – Melbourne, Australia”…

As Mother Teresa once said, “It is not how much we give but how much love we put into giving.”
And with a lot of love, our production staff held a donation drive, amongst themselves, for stationary, school bags, sport items and library books for school children. Some of our production staff personally went and handed these items to the students of Ampara, Dehiattakandiya and Pahalgama Primary Schools, on the very auspicious day of Poson Poya (Full Moon Day), on Saturday,3rd June , 2023.
Poson Poya is celebrated to commemorate the introduction of Buddhism to Sri Lanka by Mahinda in 236BC. It is the most important Poya day of the year and generally marked by numerous charitable activities.
The children were thrilled on receiving their gifts and we were rewarded with their smiles and good wishes

Celebrating the First Day of 2023.

May this New Year be a step forward in leading us to new opportunities and challenges , new roads to explore and new success to reach !

We started the day with the presence and blessings of the Buddhist, Catholic & Hindu priests and doing the traditional rituals at Cable Solutions premises.

We are extremely pleased to unveil and share with you our refreshed new brand identity!
Over the last few months, we have worked very hard towards creating a new image that would depict much more accurately who we are at our core, which is a truly customer-centric organization.
In keeping things simple, we will not be changing the product logo, instead introducing a new sub-name " Käblr" as a device to identify our entire product range, which is visually memorable and easy to communicate.

Cable Solutions staff enjoyed a fun filled Annual Company Day trip, held at Hotel Club Dolphin, Waikkala on Friday 23rd September. The Management was extremely happy to organize this trip since it was last held pre-Covid, in 2019.

There were nearly 370 participants which comprised of staff along with their families. There were fun games played, splashing around in the pool, good music that all danced to and a wonderful spread of food and drinks that was thoroughly enjoyed by all. It was great to see everyone relax and have a really good time.

Riding to Rise Above Challenges:

Our Managing Director, Mr Pawan Tejwani, contributing towards preserving the country’s resources and keeping expenses down, found a novel way to commute to work. He cycled from Colombo to Kadawatha, a distance of 18kms,

He is a fitness freak and cycling enthusiast, who also participates in cycling expeditions and charity rides, in a personal capacity.

Deciding to put his hobby to use in another way in these trying times, he took on the task of cycling instead of burning car fuel. He carried this out 2 days a week, The country is currently dealing with fuel shortages and the supply of fuel is just about picking up.

Due to his constant endeavour to be environmentally friendly, cost conscious and walking the talk, Mr Tejwani took on this ride. He managed to successfully motivate other members of staff who then also took to riding cycles to work and doing their bit as well. This speaks highly of the work culture at Cable Solutions, which includes doing one’s bit for the environment, decreasing one’s carbon footprint, as well as adopting ways and means of improving work life and personal development.

Vesak Full Moon Poya Day, which fell on 15th May this year, is a significant day for Buddhists and is celebrated around the world and with much festivity in Sri Lanka. Vesak lanterns are a significant part of this celebration.
Marking this special day, Cable Solutions Sri Lanka (‘CSLK’) organized a Lantern Competition in which all departments were invited to participate. Some of the departments that participated were Production (Cable Section), Quality Assurance Department, Maintenance Department , Logistics Department, R&D/Purchasing/HR Departments, Harness Section, and the sister companies in the premises - Quality Floors (Pvt) Ltd., & Sim Lanka (Pvt) Ltd.

The competition was held at the company premises on 17th May to celebrate the festival.
The different departments through enthusiastic teamwork presented beautiful and creative lanterns. Their efforts were much appreciated by the Judges’ panel. What was unique was the fact that the lanterns were made using waste products from the factory, such as scrapped wires, wooden bobbins, material bags, scrapped tapes, throw away plastic buckets, metal pieces etc. to decorate their lanterns. This went in line with the Company philosophy of reusing, recycling, and reproducing.
All the winners received gifts for their contribution and effort.
Such fun activities and competitions improve company culture and build camaraderie and are also used to bring employees outside of a department closer together to form bonds across the entire organization. Even though it was a competition between departments, they all shared their resources beyond the boundaries, with each other. This also displayed the unity and spirit that flows through each staff member which is part of the principles that CSLK encourages and is proud of.
Congratulations to the winners and also all participants for sportingly being a part of this event. We look forward to many more such fun and team building exercises.

Cable Solutions is proud to announce the addition of a new Twisting Machine to it’s fleet.

It’s major advantages are
 High quality output with motorized pay-offs.
 Improved productivity with DIN 600 inputs.

The machine was set up in our factory and production began on 24th March 2022.

Another acquisition at Cable Solutions is the Multi Wire Drawing Machine. It is a state of the art drawing line from Niehoff, Germany that can draw up to 8 wires. It has high quality output using the steamed annealing process.

Here’s looking forward to increased productivity and customer satisfaction, which are our constant endeavours.

Women's Day 2022

As always, we were very happy to honour the women in our staff, on the day marked especially to celebrate them – International Women’s Day.

A morning gathering was held of all the staff, in which fresh roses and gift vouchers of Rs 1,000 were presented to each of the women by the male Managers and Executives. These were gestures to show appreciation for all they do and bring a smile to their faces.

PA to the Managing Director, Ms Dilhani Denipitiya gave a speech on the theme of 2022 "Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow", meant to inspire and motivate the women to rise further as well as for the men present, to encourage and facilitate this.

Another talk was given by a female staff member, Mrs. Kusuma Aththanayaka, outlining some of her life experiences and the struggles she has been through and successfully overcome. .

All the staff appreciated the programme and left with a further awareness of Gender Equality and the motivation to ensure it is practiced in all spheres of life.

Here’s to all the Women in our lives and their contribution to ours!

Obituary

Mrs Thushari Prasandika Perera Senevirathna
22nd April 1970 – 9th January 2022


It is with deep regret and shock that we speak of the very sudden death of a member of the Cable Solutions’ family, Mrs Thushari Prasandika Perera Senevirathna.

Thushari was a Production Operator in the Cable section. She was admitted to the hospital on Saturday, 8th January 2022 and passed away after suffering a heart attack the following morning.

We have lost a dear colleague and friend, at the young age of 51 years. She was a part of our organization since May 2010.

Much liked and a hard and diligent worker, who contributed towards the success of our company through her job well done, she will be dearly missed. Her cheerful attitude and bright smile have left a beacon of light for us all to remember her by.

On Monday, 10th January 2022, a 2 minute silence was observed in her honour, at the factory and office premises.

We pray her soul rests in peace and her family finds the strength they need to go through these trying times.

May she attain Nirvana.

Christmas is here and the air is festive! At Cable Solutions we have already got our Christmas Vibe going and are very excited to celebrate this wonderful time of year as well as to welcome the New Year, full of hope and aspirations.

Some of our staff got in on the fun by making all the decorations themselves, this year. A big thank you to them for their enthusiasm and efforts. They took a page out of Cable Solutions’ handbook by displaying wonderful teamwork, keeping it eco-friendly and ensuring it was very budget friendly without compromising on quality as well.

The decorations have been made out of good quality paper and can be stored away and re-used. Every work station has been set up and the entire office looks like a Christmas Wonderland, spreading cheer and happiness.

Given the times the world is going through, we could use all the cheer and positivity possible and thanks to the festive surroundings it gives us reason to smile, keep the faith and hope for brighter tomorrows were the only masks we will need to wear are of Santa, Snow Men and Reindeers 😊
