"The Other Half" නොහොත් "විෂම භාග" චිත්‍රපටය 2019 වර්ෂයේ දෙසැම්බර් මස 17 වෙනිදා ප්‍රේක්ෂකයා අතරට යන්නේ පැය එකයි විනාඩි තිහක ධාවන කාලයක් සහිත පවුලේ සැමට නැරඹිය හැකි චිත්‍රපට වර්ගයක් ලෙසිනි. ලලිත් රත්නායකයන් විසින් අධ්‍යක්ෂණය හා තිර පිටපත් රචනය කළ මෙම "විෂම භාග" චිත්‍රපටයේ නිෂ්පාදන ආයතනය වන්නේ ශ්‍රද්ධා මාධ්‍ය ජාලයයි. ජැක්සන් ඇන්තනී, හේමසිරි ලියනගේ, කෞෂල්‍යා ප්‍රනාන්දු, ප්‍රියන්ත සිරිකුමාර, පන්සිලු වික්‍රමරත්න (ළමා නළු), පන්කජ වික්‍රමරත්න (ළමා නළු) සහ තිලක්ෂිණී රත්නායක යන අයගේ රංගන දායකත්වයෙන් නිර්මාණය වූ "විෂම භාග" චිත්‍රපටයෙන් ලංකාවේ අධ්‍යාපන ක්‍රමය පිළිබඳ අවධාරණය කර ඇත.

චිත්‍රපටයේ සංක්ෂිප්තයක් මෙසේ දැක්වීමෙන් එය අවබෝධ කර ගැනීමට පහසුවක් වනු ඇත.

රුවන්සිරි සහ කමලසිරි නිවුන් සහෝදරයින් වුවත් ඔවුන්ගේ හැකියාවන් හා රුචිකත්වයන් නම් එක සමාන නොවේ. එකම පන්තියේ ඉගෙන ගන්නා මොවුන්ගෙන් රුවන්සිරි වයසින් වැඩිමහල් වන අතර කමලසිරි ගණිත දැනුමෙන් තම අයියාට වඩා වැඩිමහල් ය. ගණිතයෙන් බාල රුවන්සිරි සංගීතමය හැකියාවන්ගෙන් පරිපූර්ණ මෙන්ම අතිශය සංවේදී මානවවාදී හිතැත්තෙකි. උදෑසන පළමුව පාසල වෙත කමලසිරි යන්නට පිටත් වුවත් රුවන්සිරිට ඊට ප්‍රථමව ඉටු කිරීමට ස්වකීය වගකීමක් ඇත. එනම් තම පියා වකුගඩු රෝගය හා සටන් වැද මිය ගිය දා සිට සැලකිය යුතු දුරකින් පිහිටි ඇළ පාර වෙත ගොස් වතුර පුරවා නිවසේ වතුර බූලිය හිස් නොකර තබා ගැනීමයි. රුවන්සිරි එම කර්තව්‍ය ඉටු කරන්නේ වගකීමක් ලෙස නොව තම ස්වකීය චින්තනය හා ඇති කර ගත් අවබෝධතා ගිවිසුමක් ලෙස වගවීමෙනි. පාසලට පැමිණි විගස රුවන්සිරිගේ පා ගැටෙන්නේ සංගීත කාමරය දෙසටයි. සංගීත පුහුණු වීම් අවසන් වී නැවත තම පන්තියට පැමිණෙන විට ගණන් මහත්තයාගේ පාඩම් ආරම්භ වී ඇත. දිනක් ගණන් මහත්තයා විෂම භාග ගණනක් කළු ලෑල්ලේ ලියා එය සුළු කරන්නට රුවන්සිරිට අඬගසයි. එම ගණන සුළු කිරීමට අපොහොසත් වන රුවන්සිරිගේ කණ මිරිකන ගණන් මහත්තයා ඊළඟ දින දෙන ගණන සුළු කිරීමට නොහැකි වුවහොත් එතැන් සිට නැවත හතරේ පන්තියේ හිඳ ගැනීමට සිදු වන බව අවධාරණය කරයි. තමාට ගණන් බැරි වීමේ පීඩනයෙන් කවුළුවෙන් එළිය බලා සිටින විට අසළ වැළක වනා තිබූ පාසල් කමිස දෙකින් එකක් නුපුරුදු සුළං රිද්මයකින් ගසා ගෙන යයි. මෙයින් සිසුන්ගේ බහුවිධ කුසලතා අවබෝධ කර නොගත් වත්මත් අධ්‍යාපන ක්‍රමයේ අඩුපාඩු ගැන ප්‍රේක්ෂක මනසට ව්‍යංගයෙන් කා වද්දවයි.

සුළු රංගන ශිල්පීන් පිරිසකගෙන් නිර්මාණය වූ මෙම "විෂම භාග" චිත්‍රපටයෙන් වත්මත් අධ්‍යාපන ක්‍රමයේ දුර්වලතා යන කතා තේමාවත් මාරාන්තික වකුගඩු රෝගයෙන් පීඩා විඳින ගම්මාන වල වෙසෙන ජනතාවට පිරිසිදු පානීය ජලය ලබා දීම යන චිත්‍රපටය නිර්මාණය කිරීමේ අරමුණත් සාක්ෂාත් වෙයි. ශ්‍රද්ධා මාධ්‍ය ජාලය මඟින් නිෂ්පාදන දායකත්වය සැපයූ මෙම විෂම භාග චිත්‍රපටයෙන් ලැබෙන මුදල් අපේම අසරණ වකුගඩු රෝගයෙන් පෙළෙන ජනතාවට සරණක් වීම උදෙසා යොදා ගන්න බැවින් මෙය ලංකාවේ ප්‍රථම සමාජ සත්කාරක චිත්‍රපටය ලෙසින් ද හැඳින් වේ. තව ද ලෝප්‍රකට ඉපැරැණි A ශ්‍රේණියේ සිනමා උළෙලක් සහ දකුණු ආසියාවේ විශාලතම අන්තර්ජාතික සිනමා උළෙලක් ද වන ගෝවේ 50 වන ඉන්දියානු අන්තර්ජාතික සිනමා උළෙලේ දී "විෂම භාග" චිත්‍රපටය Soul of Asia වර්ගීකරණයෙන් පිදුම් ලැබ ඇත.

විෂම වූ හැකියාවන්ගේ හරය නොදන්නවුන්, අධ්‍යාපනයේ ආකෘතිමය ලවය විශාල කොට ගෙන පූර්ණ තරඟකාරී රාමුවක ළමා මනස සිරගත කොට තිබෙන යුගයක මෙවන් නිර්මාණයකින් වැඩිහිටියෙකුගේ එක් වචනයකින් ළමා මනසට කොතරම් බලපෑමක් කරන්නේ ද යන්න පිළිබඳ හා කලාකාමී හදවත් මිනිසුන් කෙතරම් සංවේදී කරනවා ද යන්න පිළිබඳ අවබෝධ කර ගත හැක.

එසේම ගණිතයට අදක්ෂ රුවන්සිරිගේ පාසල් ගමන නැවතුනේ ද නැතිනම් හතරේ පන්තියේ හිඳ ගන්නට සිදු වූවා ද එසේත් නැතිනම් ගණන් මහත්තයාගේ හිත දිනා ගත්තේ ද යන්න දැන ගැනීමට නම් නිසැකවම මෙම "විෂම භාග" අග්‍රගණ්‍ය කලා නිර්මාණය නැරඹිය යුතුම වේ.
