අපට නෑසෙන හඬින් ශාක කෑගසන බව හෙළි වෙයි

ඔබ ශාකයකට රිදවූවොත් එය වේදනාවෙන් කෑ ගසන බව නවතම අධ්‍යයනයකින් හෙළි වී තිබෙනවා.

එම ශබ්දයන් මිනිස් කනෙහි ශ්‍රවණ පරාසයෙන් එපිට පවතින අති ධ්වනි සංඛ්‍යාත ඇති හඬවල් ලෙස විමෝචනය කරනු ලබනවා.

“ඉතා නිහඬ ක්ෂේත්‍රයක පවා සැබවින් ම අපට නො ඇසෙන ශබ්දයන් පවතින අතර ඒවා මඟින් තොරතුරු සන්නිවේදනය කෙරෙනවා. මේ ශබ්දයන් ඇසිය හැකි සතුන් සිටින අතර එනිසා ම අති මහත් ශ්‍රවණ අන්තර් ක්‍රියාකාරිත්වයන් අප අවට සිදු වෙනවා. ශාක සෑමවිට ම කෘමීන් සහ වෙනත් සතුන් සමග අන්තර් ක්‍රියාවන් සිදු කරනවා පමණක් නොව ඔවුන් සන්නිවේදනය සඳහා යොදාගන්නේ ශබ්දයි.” පසුගිය මාර්තු මස 30 වැනි දින මේ පිළිබඳව Cell ජර්නලය මගින් ප්‍රකාශයට පත් කරන ලද පර්යේෂණ වාර්තාවේ සම කතුවරයෙකු වන ඊශ්‍රායලයේ තෙල් අවිව් සරසවියේ පරිණාමීය ජීව විද්‍යාඥ Lilach Hadany එසේ සඳහන් කරනවා.

සිව් වසරකට ඉහත ඇය සහ ඇගේ සහායකයන් විසින් ශාක ශබ්ද හඳුනා ගන්නා බව සොයා ගනු ලැබුව ද ශාක එවැනි ශබ්ද නිපදවනවා ද යන්න දැන තිබුණේ නැහැ.

විවිධ පරිසර තත්ත්වයන් යටතේ තක්කාලි සහ දුම්කොළ ශාකවලින් පිටවන ශබ්ද සටහන් කර තිබෙනවා.

පළමු ව ඔවුන් කිසි ම අයුරක පීඩනයකට පත් නො කළ ශාකවලින් පිටවන ශබ්ද සටහන් කර තිබෙනවා.

අනතුරුව ශාක විජලනයට පත් කර සහ ඒවායේ කඳේ කැපීම් සිදුකර එවිට පිටවන ශබ්ද වාර්තා කරගනු ලැබුවා.

පීඩනයකට පත් නො කළ ශාක කොහෙත් ම විශාල ශබ්ද පිට කළේ නැහැ.

එහෙත් පෙර සඳහන් අයුරින් පීඩනයකට පත් කරනු ලැබූ ශාක ඒවා වටා මීටරයකට වඩා අරයක් ඇති සීමාවක හඳුනාගත හැකි අධි සංඛ්‍යාත ශබ්ද පිට කරන බව හඳුනාගනු ලැබුවා.

වේදනාකාරී තත්ත්වයනට පත් කරනු ලැබූ ශාකවලින් මහත් ශබ්ද පිට කරන බව එමඟින් සොයාගෙන තිබෙනවා.

වෛද්‍ය රූත් ගොටෙස්මන් ( Ruth Gottesman ) ඇල්බර්ට් අයින්ස්ටයින් වෛද්‍ය විද්‍යාලයේ දීර්ඝකාලයක් තිස්සේ සේවය කළ මහාචාර්‍යවරියක් . මේ සතියේ ඇය තමන්ගේ මියගිය සැමියාගෙන් තමන්ට උරුම වුණ ඩොලර් බිලියනයක සම්පූර්ණ මුදල ඇල්බර්ට් අයින්ස්ටයින් වෛද්‍ය විද්‍යාලයට පරිත්‍යාග කරනවා . ඒක තමයි මෑත ඉතිහාසයේ එක්සත් ජනපදයේ අධ්‍යාපන ආයතනයක් වෙනුවෙන් සිදු කරන ලද විශාලතම මූල්‍ය පරිත්‍යාගය .

මහාචාර්ය රූත් ගොටෙස්මන්ගේ මේ පරිත්‍යාගයේ පුවත වාර්තා කරන නිව්යෝර්ක් ටයිම්ස් හි වාර්තාකරුවන් ඇය සමඟ කළ සම්මුඛ සාකච්ඡාවේදී මහාචාර්ය ගොටෙස්මන් දැක්වූ අදහස් මෙබඳුයි .

" මගේ සැමියා මාව හැර ගියේ Berkshire Hathaway වල මටවත් නොදන්වා විශාල මුදල් ප්‍රමාණයක් ඉතිරි කරලයි . ඔහුගේ උපදෙස හරිම සරලයි .

' ඔයාට නිවැරදියි කියලා හිතෙන ඕනෑම දෙයක් වෙනුවෙන් වියදම් කරන්න .. '

අපිට ඉන්නේ ඉතාම දක්ෂ වෛද්‍ය ශිෂ්‍යයෝ . මේකෙන් ඔවුන් වගේම දක්ෂ , නමුත් වෛද්‍ය විද්‍යාලයට ඒම ගැන හිතන්නවත් බැරි තවත් සිසුන්ට මෙහේ ඉඩ විවර කරාවි . මට මේ තෑග්ග ගැන දැනෙන ලොකුම සතුට ඒකයි

පිලිප් ට විතරක් නෙවෙයි , වක්‍රාකාරයෙන් මොන්ටෙෆියුරියට වගේම අයින්ස්ටයින්ටත් උදව් කරන්න අවස්ථාව ලැබීම ගැන මට හරිම නිහතමානීභාවයක් වගේම ආඩම්බරයකුත් දැනෙනවා . "

ඇගේ තීරණය ගැන මියගිය සැමියාගේ ප්‍රතිචාරය කොහොම වෙයිද කියලා තමන්ට කල්පනා වෙන බවත් ඇය ඔවුන්ට කියනවා .

" ඔහු හිනාවෙන අතරෙම පොඩ්ඩක් නළල රැළි කරාවි කියලයි මට හිතෙන්නෙ .

නමුත් ඔහුමයි මට මේ දේ කරන්න අවස්ථාව දුන්නේ . ඒ නිසා ඔහුට සතුටක් දැනේවි . මං බලාපොරොත්තු වෙන්නෙ එහෙමයි . "

මහාචාර්ය ගොටෙස්මන්ට මේ පරිත්‍යාගය සිදු කරන්න වුවමනා වුණේ රහසිගතව වුණත් , ඇගේ ආදර්ශය තවත් බොහෝදෙනෙක්ට මග පෙන්වාවි යි තමන්ට දැනුණ නිසා පරිත්‍යාගය ප්‍රසිද්ධියේ සිදු කරන්න තමන් ඇයව දිරිමත් කළ බව ඇල්බර්ට් අයිස්ටයින් වෛද්‍ය විද්‍යාලයට අනුබද්ධිත මොන්ටෙෆියුරි හි විධායක අධ්‍යක්ෂවරයා ආචාර්ය පිලිප් ඕශුවා ප්‍රකාශ කළා .

" අයින්ස්ටයින් වෛද්‍ය විද්‍යාලය මේ වසරේ අගෝස්තුවේ සිට ඇරඹෙන පරිදි සම්පූර්ණයෙන්ම ඉගැන්වීම් ගාස්තු වලින් නිදහස් බව මං ඔබ එක්ක ඉතාම සතුටින් ප්‍රකාශ කරන්න කැමතියි . "

මහාචාර්ය රූත් ගොටෙස්මන් වෛද්‍ය විද්‍යාලයීය ප්‍රධාන සම්මන්ත්‍රණ ශාලාවේදී මේ නිවේදනය කරපු මොහොතේ සිසුන් ප්‍රීතියෙන් ප්‍රතිචාර දක්වන වීඩියෝවේ දර්ශන මේ වෙද්දී ලෝකය පුරාම වේගයෙන් පැතිරිලා ඉවරයි .

ඒ වීඩියෝවේ මුහුණු වල තියෙනවා නිදහස් අධ්‍යාපනයේ සතුට !! කැපකිරීම් වල කඳුළු !!
