7. Old Dutch Fort at Galle
This fort was built by Dutch in earlier days in the golden beach of Galle. Still it stands as a giant looking after the land from the never ending southern sea. The beach and the view from the fort is amazing just like any other beautiful beach in Sri Lanka, but the Fort itself gives the proud look to the scenery.
8. Sigiriya Rock Fortress
Sigiriya, also known as the 8th of wonder of the world is a world heritage site. Not only the rock itself but also the nature around it is also very appealing. Once you visit this place you’ll be astonished by the art work with the rocks and how ancient Sinhalese could make water fountains from the rock beds. And the frescoes of ancient painting will be a subject you’ll talk about once you enter this place. Don’t miss the view at the top which will be lovely with the howling wind.
9. Mirissa
