Over the past three years, we have cherished every moment spent brewing your favorite coffees and creating a space where art, entrepreneurship, and activism thrive. Your unwavering support has been the heartbeat of our journey, and for that, we are eternally grateful.

As we approach this new chapter, we want to inform you that our two dedicated employees, who have been instrumental in fostering the unique community spirit of Kofi Khafetsa, are moving on to pursue their educational dreams. Their passion and dedication have been the pillars of our success, and finding individuals who can truly embody their spirit is no small feat.

In light of these changes, we have decided to pause our operations starting next week. This decision has not been made lightly, but we firmly believe that maintaining the integrity and true spirit of Kofi Khafetsa is paramount. We refuse to continue just for the sake of it; we want to come back stronger and better, with a model that is fair to ourselves and our cherished patrons.

While we cannot provide specific details about our future plans at this moment, please know that our commitment to this community remains unwavering. We are determined to find the best path forward, ensuring that whatever comes next is in line with our core values and the support you have shown us.

To celebrate the incredible journey we have had together, we are hosting a special goodbye event on August 10th. This event will be a chance for us to gather one last time before our temporary closure, to share memories, and to express our heartfelt thanks for your support.

With father's day recently being a hot topic for discussion this time of the year.

The self deprecating jokes from a select many who don't share the sentiment sparked a lengthy conversation upon our emotionally intelligent customer's🤧.

They pressed on the particularly orphaned individuals who had no father's to celebrate. Either because of death, or well... Ghosting💀.
And of course the father's who aren't necessarily good at their job.
All these putting a heavy responsibility on the mother's to have to shoulder both parental responsibilities. So, we argued... They should be allowed to celebrate being fathers too, right?

The beautiful thing about talking this over some coffee is how easy it is to laugh about this sensitive topic and how it can spiral to somehow an educational discourse.

In the end, we concluded that it is 'not nice' to spoil such a momentous day for fathers who are doing their job right by spiralling on and on about those who don't.

Hopefully there'll be a holiday for that at some point in time, so we can all publically make the jokes we want about it😂.
