THE DAY I MET SEBABATSO
To begin with, it was on a Friday when Nona decided to take a journey to the Capital City via the National University of Lesotho (NUL)’s main gate to stop by a few places. On that day, the sky was as blue as forget-me-nots.
She checked her wardrobe for clothes that would be suitable for the weather. As she unpacked, she came across a white blouse that had long sleeves. She looked at it carefully and wondered if she would look beautiful on it.
She sat down on her bed to make up her mind as she decided which trouser would be the best with that blouse. Then she found the solution. She would first take a bath so that she could try all her trousers to find one that fitted well.
As she went on, rubbing the soap on the towel, giving it an opportunity to remove dirt, she thought about time and she offered to check the clock. She found that it was already seven o’clock in the morning. She felt bad because she wanted to take the first taxi. She was late, so she started doing everything quickly.
She also wanted to stop by the University gate and to consult internet shops there. When she was done with bathing, she put on the black trouser and the blouse mentioned previously, and the brown sandals.
If it were a matter of hearing from the mirror, she could not believe she looked so stunning! She had to accept she looked like a star.
As she walked out of her room, a neighbor was outside and as she saw how gorgeous she looked, she let out the whistle and said, “So you look this beautiful, wow! Wow! Wow! Wow!”
She felt so comfortable and happy. One of her friend volunteered to accompany her to the taxi rank and on the way, there was a lot of mud and so the tip of her shoe could go deep down into the soil.
Because of that, she could not walk quickly as she was in a hurry to take the first taxi. She realized that she left her phone on the table, so she got tired at that very moment and wondered if it was right to go back to the house and look for it.
As she glanced at a distance from her house, she saw the neighbor’s daughter and immediately she called her to check whether the phone was there on the table. Very luckily the daughter found it and ran to give it to her.
So she was relieved, and she started to walk quickly for she was very late. When she reached the taxi rank, she found that there was only one passenger.
Surprised, she asked, “Is this the first taxi?” The passenger answered,” No, it is the second one, the first taxi left when I arrived here.” “shu!!” she sighed. She made up her mind that she had to accept the situation.
She sat down and waited patiently for more people and within the blink of an eye, all sits were occupied.
“As we went on, we passed through mountains filled with the green plants that made them look so stunning, she forget that she was in a hurry to get to the University gate." When she arrived at the gate, she went to the internet shop and there were no internet services.
Then she met one lady who had bought pizza made from the National university of Lesotho and she remembered that she had seen on facebook that they also produced yogurt.
She asked the lady where she had bought the pizza and where she could find yogurt and the lady did not know the whereabouts of the yogurt.
So she went to one shop and as she walked close to the refrigerator, she saw bottles of yogurt; she went closer to check which one she wanted to buy.
So she saw one container her eyes were not familiar with, she turned the bottle to read what was written on it. It was written SEBABATSO; she turned the bottle again to check where it was made.
Then the NUL logo was there on the bottle. She was so happy she found what she always wanted to taste, so she bought it and she tasted, it was so delicious to the extent that she kept the container to show to her neighbors that new homemade product, SEBABATSO.
