Addressing Stress and Burnout in Managers
In this era of knowledge and communication, it’s crucial to prioritize the well-being of managers. Research from Gallup highlights the significant risk of stress and burnout, impacting both managers and their teams.
Here are key strategies to combat stress and maintain focus:
✅Connect with colleagues: Seek support from colleagues to prioritize, find solutions, and improve work-life balance.
✅Schedule walking meetings: Research shows that walking meetings boost mood and focus, providing a break from desk work.
✅Block off ‘power hours’: Allocate specific blocks of time on the calendar for concentrated work, minimizing distractions and protecting time for critical tasks.
✅Seek feedback effectively: Managers often perceive feedback less accurately than individual contributors. To improve performance, seek compassionately direct feedback from senior managers.
✅Prioritize self-care: Engage in activities that promote well-being, such as exercise, mindfulness, and healthy eating.
Have a nice working hours 👏🏻

Co-working day in Gdansk! 🇵🇱

Do you often work in coworking spaces?
Mental health is extremely important for each one of us to have a happy life...
Let us make each and everyone aware that mental health needs our attention…. Wishing a very Happy World Mental Health Day!
Tell us how you deal with a bad day?
What do you do to relax and be a person of work-life balance?
If you're still thinking about going on vacation or not, we answer - go! 👍🏻
And if you still can't decide where to go, our dear JS developer Dima answers - to Italy 🇮🇹
And here's Dima told us about his vacation:
«I am happy to share with you some the nicest moments of my little trip to Italy 🇮🇹
Took place near Rome in great camping with all necessary accommodation 😏 It was some mix of the harmony of nature and modern life style. On the one hand: forest, fresh air, no city noise and crowded streets, on the other hand: 20 mins to Rome, 20 mins to the sea, 3 mins to huge domestic supermarket, swimming pools, wi-fi and rent car of course 😀
Visited Vatican City, saw Pope of Rome (not so close, but anyway!). Huge lines, overcrowded square - everything was worth it.
The next brilliant day we spent for Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill.
Touched the history of Ancient Rome, viewed the area of gladiators, moved into the imaginations by motives of “Blood and sand”. Looks the same amazing as it’s claimed.
For sure, I should highlight Italian cuisine 🧑🍳 These guys really know how to cook the most delicious pizza 🍕, pasta 🍝, tiramisu and espresso ☕️! Believe me, local non-tourists places are much better as they have a soul and fantastic quality!
Please, have a look a few photos from our family journey 😏 »
Wow, sound really 😎 cool!
Really?
Alright, folks, the debate is still on whether or not to go back to the office, but executives are getting pretty nervous about it. No more free food, yoga classes, or charitable donations to convince people to come in. Nope, now the threats are coming out - termination and performance reviews based on office attendance? Yes! 🙄
Even the tech companies that were all about remote work are changing their minds. Zoom, the video conferencing saviors of the pandemic, are asking employees to come in at least twice a week if they live near a Zoom office. 🏤
👾 And TikTok is even keeping track of when you show up to the office (looks like no more sneaking out to the beach on a Monday afternoon).
🖥 Meta recently revised its return-to-office policy, telling employees they could face termination if they do not come in at least three days a week.
🚚 At Amazon, remote workers must decide whether to move or give up their jobs, with some facing a significantly higher cost of living.
Google, which has asked most workers to be in the office three days a week, announced that performance reviews could take into account lengthy unexplained absences from the office, and badge records could be reviewed to identify those consistent absences. 👀
But remote work is effective, so why the sudden change of heart? It's definitely a scary situation, but every employee should have a choice - go to the office or stay remote. I am all about a hybrid approach - two days in the office, three days in my pajamas. 🏡 💻
What about you guys? Are you ready to pack up your desk and head back to the office or are you holding out for more remote work days? Let's hear it! 💭 🙌

What could be better than going to the dentist in Georgia and staying there for a week? Or a scheduled workation?
Our JS developer will tell about it:
«I was in Batumi, my main goal was to visit the dentist, work and swim in the sea in my free time. These goals have been achieved 👏🏻
The weather during work favored me very much, two weeks of sunshine, for Batumi such a period with almost no rain is just a treasure🤪
Usually in the morning I went in for sports, I found a good yoga club in Batumi and participated in it twice a week, I also ran and trained, swam in the sea and started working, after work I walked along the embankment.
I visited a cool beach 🏖️ at the weekend called Tsikhidziri, it has a banana grove and the place looks like a georgian Bali.
Like this workation so much!”
Do you want to be in Georgia for a workation?

3 habits to accelerate the growth of a newcomer to programming. 😶🌫️🧠
1.Take time to read and understand the code 👩🏼💻
Newcomers should browse and read code written by veteran programmers. It may seem like a waste of time. However, you can get used to code patterns that might be useful for you.
2.Always use wisdom to simplify the problem in front of you 🦉
You might be only trying to look at the code you wrote again, or trying to read through your errors. Consider rethinking your code. In other words, consider the performance, and try to locate the part that is giving you the error.
3.Improve your workflow and use automation tools 🔧
If you’re a veteran engineer, you’ll see a big difference from a newcomer that writes code with customized tools and a newcomer that has not yet started to do so. Customizing your tools makes them easy to use, and it can make up for a big difference in speed and quality. In fact, The speed is completely different just by using the editor functions and shortcut keys.
