Well, the cold is back but no worries… Kyō is proud to introduce the reknown Japanese down wear brand TAION 🇯🇵(« body temperature »)! A stylish way to face the urban cold or to venture into the great outdoors🤲🏻

Taion specialises in clothing for harsh weather conditions. The brand whose name means “body temperature” in Japanese uses exceptional materials to create effective down wear. Using a mix of feathers and water-repellent high-density nylon fabric, each Taion piece is made to regulate temperature and humidity. The end result is a colourful line of down jackets and vests for men, women.

Toyo Steel Co. Ltd, born in 1969 in Osaka, is the specialist of the Toolbox "tool box" renowned for its many qualities: lightweight, portable, extremely durable because designed with a single piece seamless.
All details are well thought out: rounded edges not to injure, retractable handle, lockout loop, embossed top/bottom allowing stacking. The use of the tool box is to be diverted, it finds its place in all the rooms of the house for storing pencils, sewing threads, telephones, glasses, kitchen utensils ... and of course tools. .

We are so thrilled to introduce , a brand producing beautifully made, durable items that focus on traditional Swedish craftsmanship. To this day, their brushes are hand-bound using traditional Swedish techniques by visually impaired craftsmen. At kyō, you will find high-quality brushes and household items for kitchens and bathrooms.

The lovely table brush is made of oiltreated beech with hand-drawn bristles of horsehair. The brush set is perfect to use when removing crumbs from the table and is also a beautiful detail for the kitchen. Combine the lovely brush set with other fine products for your home from Iris hantverk.

Why they are different
The designs used are unique to Iris Hantwerk brushes and based on traditional methods. They are of an incredibly high quality and nearly all the materials are natural. These are brushes that will bring a little bit of joy to everyday tasks and last a long, long time. 

Why they are kind 
Until 2012 the project was backed by the Swedish government’s Socialdepartementet. It’s now a social enterprise that creates jobs for the visually impaired and values their skills and has expanded in Estonia. Their products eliminate the need for plastic tools, too.

.be was founded in 2013 by Ghent-based architect G***t Depoorter.
After a few years of working in architecture studios, she decided to follow her passion for knitwear. She explored new horizons and started playing and experimenting with both classic and innovative materials and techniques.
During her studies of Fashion at SASK Academie of Sint-Niklaas, she became even more inspired and passionate about knitting. Experimenting and creating on her knitting machine at night, and working in an architecture office during daytime, she decided in 2016 to fully focus on her brand, although architecture is never far away in the designs.
Wolvis keeps on refreshing thanks to G***t’s sense for design, sustainability, poetic collection concepts and inspiring local collaborations.

Inspired by artists, country life and artisans’ workwear, all garments are designed to be comfortable and practical with an eye for detail, shape, fabric and color. Hul le Kes garments are made to become even more beautiful by wearing them.

Every garment has its own passport with information about the materials, the garment and its makers. This passport also allows a repair service from their Arnhem atelier, an additional commitment to Hul le Kes transparent, durable wabi-sabi inspired philosophy.

THE FRENCH WORKER'S JACKET

Over the past 100 years, the French worker’s jacket has gone from a practical garment worn by the working class to an everyday item for city-dwellers and a point of inspiration for luxury brands.

There are glimpses of the blue chore jacket in film throughout the past five decades, including Paul Newman as a rebellious inmate in Cool Hand Luke, but no wearer stands out more than famed street style photographer Bill Cunningham.

The classic Le Laboureur French work jacket, a truly timeless style icon. Made in France with traditional methods, Le Laboureur are the real deal. This Navy work jacket features three patch pockets and one interior pocket. The branded buttons add a nice extra detail to this workwear classic.

Le Laboureur produce traditional French workwear. Founded in 1956 by Primo Zalenti, originally producing clothing for agricultural use, the marque later extended the range to workwear for the building trade. Le Laboureur, which translates as "the ploughman", is still owned by the Zalenti family to this day, now under the control of Primo's son Jean Charles. They continue to produce fine hand made clothing, still with their original styles, using traditional methods in Digoin, France🇫🇷

Everyday tebleware with a hint of elegance – RIM
A versatile design in various sizes for the modern dining table. The plates have a raised rim while the bowls are shallower than traditional Japanese vessels to accommodate various cuisines. They also stack neatly and require little cupboard space. In order to reduce material waste in the production process, the clay is fired without removing the iron powder, which gives these earthy grey pieces their signature specks.

Hasami white porcelain and sustainable clay with iron powder

A characteristic of Hasami white porcelain is its translucent white color with a slightly blue tint. The earth gray colored items are made from clay containing iron powder, which normally gets thrown aside in the process of making white colored tableware. Not only can we make effective use of resources, but the iron powder in this clay brings out a unique expression on each piece.

is a Slovakian brand of high-quality handmade sneakers that follows the manufacturing tradition started by the progressive Czechoslovakian businessman Jan Antonín Baťa all the way back in 1939. Their sneakers have since become renowned for their elegance, imaginative designs and durability - thanks both to the fact that they only use certified natural materials and to the fact that all Novesta shoes are handmade in Partizánske, Slovakia.

Une hirondelle fait le printemps 🌱

Lauréate du concours régional des ateliers d’art de France (Île de France), Inès Carratié présente ses nouvelles créations chez Kyō.
Chaque bijou est une pièce unique, réalisée à la main dans son atelier à Paris.

Brodeuse d’or et d’encre, Inès crée ses bijoux sous le nom de Nini Peony.
Très inspirée par des textes tels que les Métamorphoses d’Ovide ou Les Nouvelles Orientales de Marguerite Yourcenar, elle travaille par cycles sur les différentes facettes secrètes de la féminité.

Influencée par l’animisme d’extrême orient et la mythologie grecque, elle tisse ses histoires comme elle brode ses bijoux et encre ses dessins : avec un goût particulier pour les gestes ancestraux au service d’un discours intemporel.

En juin 2016, à 28 ans, elle intègre les Ateliers d’Art de France pour son travail textile.
