The Red Wing boot is the most iconic Red Wing Shoe available. They were released by Red Wing Shoes during Autumn in 1952. The 8 inch was designed as a hunting boot. They were soon nicknamed 'Irish Setter’ because of the similarity of the colour of the gundog that would assist a hunter on his trip. The Oro-Legacy leather is based on the leather from the Irish Setter boots from the 1970s. The Red Wing Oro-Legacy leather ages beautifully and shows great craftsmanship. The White Traction Tred sole provides maximum grip and comfort. These Red Wing boots comes with the original gold/tan taslan laces.

This mid-high model, inspired by climbing shoes, has been designed with rubber coating strips at the front and back of the shoe in order to better adhere to the rock wall during steep passages. Today, this model has come down from the mountain trails to adapt to the city.
