We're creating next generation customization software for individual adjustment of prosthetics and orthotics that are digitally manufactured. There's no mass customization tool for prosthetics and orthotics automatic adjustment in the market. WiDE software is solving global problem of medical professional's inability to serve all patients in need for assistive device. This is due to time consumin
g and complex individual assistive device customization process and limited number of specialists. In Europe alone there are over 4 million people living with limb deficiencies or other problems that need assistive devices, globally there are 50 million people with this need and 9 of 10 people don't have access to prosthetic or orthotic [http://goo.gl/SbYrJh] . Existing approach is not able to solve global need for assistive devices. To solve this problem we're engaging artificial intelligence and making customization automatic. By providing medical professionals with this software we provide them with a tool to serve 16 patients instead of one patient in the same time frame. Every specialist can use it, even without experience in digital modelling. Our software is a tool for AUTOMATIC and INDIVIDUAL customization, based on persons 3D scan data. Combining pre-defined digital design of P&O and the 3D scan, software generates individual digital model which is then manufactured using additive manufacturing, assuring low cost, life-like, light weight and functional product. Software WiDE is beneficial to practitioners or companies who customize and manufacture individual assistive devices not providing off-the shelf general solutions. For prosthetist-orthotist:
