The F9x S63 platform is at the heart of our expertise, and our ability to create exceptionally smooth, spool-controlled tunes is evident in the dyno chart of this blue F90 M5. We address the factory's unnecessarily quick spool at low RPM, extending the powerband higher than stock. This is the upper limit for power on stock turbochargers if you want a comfortable and impressively linear powerband without risking overspinning the turbocharger. Beyond 720-740 horsepower on the F9x S63, larger turbochargers are required for sufficient airflow.

At KM we consider that cylinder bore honing is one of the most underlooked aspects of an engine build. Its a form of science and art. Recognising use case for the particular engine build and matching it with ideal honing parameters to have enough oil lubrication, lowest possible blow-by and oil consumption is an important factor. A hone done right gives a significant edge in terms of power and reliability.

All honing work is done with tight control of crucial hone parameters and measured by Mitutoyo measurement equipment.

We use deck plates on all builds to simulate engine head load on the block and compensate for geometry changes in the bore. This achieves a round bore, as close to perfection as possible.

Our sleeved and honed blocks are reliable and prooven to be successfull. Our engines have very little to no oil consumption and even with factory crankcase gas seperators, the intakes are clean of any oil indicating a very low amount of blowby.
