Here are my top 5 tips I would recommend to anyone 💆🏼‍♀️

You may have a wide range of different products or you may be new to skincare, but without daily SPF, it is almost impossible to maintain skin health or youthfulness in the long run. You must apply this daily, even in winter, although you may not have sunburn, the UVA rays can be just as harmful.

Never go to bed without cleansing your skin, ok, once or twice you're forgiven, but on a regular basis, it will lead to clogging of pores, acne and sensitivity of the skin.

Definitely no to using baby wipes ❌
Whilst it may remove the makeup visible to the eye, they are not formulated to keep pores clear or break down waxes and oils. You will be leaving a lot of makeup and environmental debris behind, I will be sharing some of my favourite makeup removing practices.

Spots… now we all get them and the occasional breakout but it is how you manage them as to how long the problem will last. A spot is essentially a clogged pore that contains oil, bacteria and inflammation. You do not want to be squeezing these as it can push the bacteria to the surrounding skin and make the problem worse.

Lastly, when removing eye makeup ensure you have chosen a good quality product. Try to avoid scrubbing and rough rubbing and instead use gentle dabbing and circular motion movements which should be enough to lift the makeup without traumatizing your skin.

The key is to be patient and be consistent, it can take 6-8 weeks to see an improvement in your skin if you adhere to a good routine. If you still don't see results after 8 weeks, then you can change up your products or visit our clinic to have a skin analysis where we can best advise treatments and products.

We see fairly dramatic changes in weather here, super hot and humid summers and cold snowy weather in the winter -
Winter brings changes in humidity and temperature that create perfect conditions for causing dry skin, also known as Xeroxes.
Moisture is essential for the skin barrier to perform well. Research has shown that there is less moisture in the skin during winter than in the summer, as well as fewer lipids in the skin barrier. These differences contribute to dryness and irritation.

An ultra-fine oil that is formulated to provide the skin with a very high concentration of vitamins and antioxidants to help energise dry and sun damaged skin, helping to give the skin a healthy appearance.

Daily Moisturising Body Lotion;

When it comes to alleviating redness and inflammation due to dry skin, reach for this lotion from Avene. It reduces itching sensations from dryness while successfully moisturising your skin.

Advanced Repair Lotion
Eucerin's Advanced Repair Lotion provides 48-hour moisture for your dry skin. So, don't be fooled by its lightweight formula. Because since it's enriched with ceramide-3 and natural moisturising factors, it improves the skin's protective moisture barrier, and fast.

Lipikar Daily Repair Moisturizing Lotion;
This lotion is based in calming thermal spring water which is rich in selenium. The water has been shown to normalise the skin's micro-biome and promote a healthy skin barrier. It also contains skin-softening shea butter, and soothing niacinamide.

Pore Minimizing :
There are a number of factors that can contribute to large pores.

First and foremost, your genetic disposition will largely determine your pore size. Your genetics also influence the amount of sebum your sebaceous glands produce, the size of your hair follicles/thickness of hair, and your skin elasticity and tension. All of which are considered the main causes of enlarged facial pores. The general consensus between published research studies is that there is a positive correlation between sebum production and pore size. In other words, the more sebum the skin produces, the larger the size of the facial pores. This is also evidenced by the fact that the majority of enlarged pores are on the nose and central cheek area. It is thought that reduced collagen and skin elasticity causes large pores as the skin sags and stretches the pore, making it appear larger.
