Steve Le Seelleur, Managing Director for Equiom Jersey shared his thoughts on inspiring inclusion ahead of International Women's Day 2024:

"Inclusion needs to be pervasive across all aspects of society, and firmly embedded in an organisation's ethos and values. As a leader of people, I have several moral obligations:

1️⃣ to ensure every team member is valued, feels they are valued and is able to be their best
2️⃣ to inspire a culture of diversity and inclusion that respects every single member of our community
3️⃣ to call out and challenge bias and inequality ensuring our collective commitment to gender equity isn't something we focus on at certain times of the year but continually and always"

Ahead of International Women's Day, let's reflect on the importance of true inclusion in the workplace. Brian Burkholder, Location Head at Equiom, Cayman Islands, shares his perspective: "Inclusion means more than just providing women with equal opportunities in the workplace. It encompasses the sharing of ideas and participation in all aspects of the work environment on an equal basis. All staff should feel comfortable in their work environment, and this is achieved through full inclusion, both professionally and on a social level."
