Who are we?
Hospices of Hope Moldova is a charity that aims to develop a national palliative care network in the Republic of Moldova, thus supporting people who suffer from incurable illnesses and/or life-limiting conditions in the regions of the country. At the moment, we are accomplishing our mission by integrating in the national network and offering our financial and logistical support to three organizations that provide medical and social assistance to people who necessitate palliative care.
Beside this, Hospices of Hope Moldova is the main importer and provider of stoma bags, distributed to people who have a stoma, cared for by the organizations part of the national palliative care network and by people treated at the Oncological Institute.
Hospices of Hope Moldova is part of the international organization Hospices of Hope.
Hospices of Hope is the leading palliative care charity in South Eastern Europe, believing that everyone deserves the best possible care at the end of life. Hospices of Hope has been supporting hospice care in the Republic of Moldova since 2008, through a local charity based in Chisinau. During all this time Hospices of Hope has positively contributed to the development and the quality of palliative care in the country and has also changed the way fundraising was done by introducing innovating events to the large public.
In 2017 we’ve decided to change little the way we work and focus on a pilot project - developing a national palliative care network for people who need palliative care outside of Chisinau.
