LBC STUFF...
This June is an extra special month at LBC and we got the calendar page to prove it!
Thanks to the awesome folks at Castle Malting S.A. for celebrating us & other small breweries around the world all year long in their 2024 edition calendar.
Since our beginning we have produced our beers using high quality malts (grain) from Castle Malting® which is the oldest (1868) malting company in Belgium and one of the oldest malt producers in the world.
Their special techniques to the malting process of all their grains allows for us be able to create the yummy beers that we do!

So often small local producers like us are not considered for articles about the beer industry due to the omnipresent commercial and industrial breweries.

LBC New BEER NEWS...
This weekend at the Chisinau Craft Beer Festival we dropped our new brew, Cheeky Monkey IPA!
This brew is a playful blend of tropical hop aroma with (as we have been told by our Test Subjects) tangerine and coconut notes.
It’s a hop forward in flavor but lower ALC% (4.6) to be a session ale.
Meet LBC’s Head Brewer/ owner Bill and talk craft with him.
He’ll be happy to pour you a beer!

We are happy to announce our participation in the 2K24 Chisinau Beer Festival!!!
The first of its kind to be held in Chisinau hosted by the organizers of the Odesa Beer Festival started in 2016.
Having attended the Odesa Beer Fest, we are looking forward to the unique experience of this craft centric beer event happening in Chisinau.
Rumored to have on offer are 70 brews.
Local and Ukrainian breweries are participants.

This is our 1st SMaSH beer. A Single Malt and Single Hop brew.
Simply Beerlicious! (ALC% 4)
We are out to prove that a classic light beer style can be made having a fresh aroma and also be flavorful using high quality ingredients and knowing how to bring out the best from them.
We simplified our brewing process by cutting out multiple blends of malts & crazy hop additions at multiple temps and NO dry hopping.
We went straight up old OLD school brewing.
So, for all y’all that have been jawing at us to make this style of beer you better step up & drink up!

How ‘bout a Throwback Thursday (TbT) post in remembrance of LBC's beginnings on the last day of our AnniBEERsary month.
Six years ago our slogan was (and still is) “Think Local, Drink Local, Support Local” and our objective was (and still is) to create high quality, interesting & affordable brews.
LBC was a self funded endeavor of only Bill and myself investing our savings to make it all happen. We had no idea of what or if we would be relevant with so much endless big money competition in the same game.
We also could not have imagined our evolution and are grateful everyday to our LBC crew and our supporters for these 6 years keeping us in existence.
And so Bill & I start this year off with our fight to be allowed to remain in Moldova and operate our small local business just as we’ve done since our beginning along with all the other challenges we face on a daily basis in business. Normalna (

We kept our promise to you this past year to engage more in the community, we hosted our Annual Chili Cook-off, our Dogs & Draughts 4th of July Party, 3 Bands & Brews gigs at the brewery, participated in 4 Eco Local Markets and 7 other offsite events between June & December. Whew!!!
We rolled out our new product of Cidru de Mere and gave you a taste of different styles of it!
We Introduced you to our BREWhanka beer bus & began canning 3 of our brews.
For our small Crew of only 6 - plus a shout out to Valik & Cristina for their volunteer help - to pull all these off was hard but we did it!
We also worked with our business association, AIM, & other local beer producers to achieve changes to improve our industry. A lot more is still to be done.
We say goodbye to the 23 we (as we have since our beginning) rely on the support of our brew lovers. Thank you for keeping us here another year!
In the 2K24 we will continue to try and avoid “Sponsor Spamming” your feeds and to grow organically. Thank you for “telling your friends or bringing them to the brewery”. We appreciate it!
As a small local only business, we never know what the next challenge will be or where & when it WILL happen and some of our best laid plans fall apart every year because of the poor business practices of others yet we carry on and refuse to sacrifice our quality of ingredients or integrity of how we do business (paying no bribes).
Please don’t wait to visit us until Spring! January is our most expensive month of additional annual operational costs. Yearly licensing & certification fees are due. Producers that make 30,000 or 3 million liters pay the same fees.

Let’s chat about Pastry or also sometimes called Dessert beers.
These beer styles are inherently (& obviously) sweeter then the flavor profile of the particular known beer style.
As a brewery that loves “hop forward” beer flavors we decided to brew up something we wouldn’t normally drink ourselves and in a style that we’ve never done before just to see what would happen.
Ta da, meet your Midnight Honey Stout!
At a reasonable 5ish% alc you’ll be able to remember the taste and we aren’t imperialists by nature ))).
Should be enjoyed cold or at a moderate temperature for peak aromas & flavors.
You’ll either love it or hate it and that’s ok, we brew want we want to anyway.
