Our aim at De l'Ain Academy is to create a fun filled and safe environment for our clients. We strongly believe that to ride horses a foundation of trust and a horse-human connection needs to be built. To achieve this, classes include working with the horses at liberty and start from the ground up. Our classes are beginner friendly and follow a stress-free, non-competitive style.

Our classes incorporate mounted and non-mounted activities that bring about connection with our equine partners and observation of their behavior which provides the basis for reflection and discussion. These activities promote student confidence, self-assurance, verbal and non-verbal communication, focus, mindfulness, and healthy coping strategies.

Helpers on Hooves is an organisation who are passionate about helping people find empowerment, their wellbeing and personal development. Equine Facilitated Learning (EFL) provides an opportunity to connect with horses and discover more about themselves.

We will be lucky to discover more about their valuable work while exploring one of Malta's biggest valleys.

At Helpers on Hooves we are passionate about helping people find empowerment, their wellbeing and personal development. Equine Facilitated Learning (EFL) provides an opportunity to connect with horses and discover more about themselves.

Horses as herd animals communicate with each other by reacting to the energy and body language of their companions. They show us how to be living in the moment and mirror our emotions. In our classes, we use a mindfulness approach as well as interactive exercises with the horses. The sessions mainly consist of observing the herd, grooming, groundwork and goal setting exercises.

1:1 sessions in Equine Facilitated Human Development, where the horses are co-facilitators in the coaching.

A social- emotional learning program based on a horse psycho-education approach.

This program offers opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to be supported by the horses in a safe environment. Learn life skills for personal growth, social and emotional wellbeing and gain confidence to build healthy relationships. These life skills are transferable to home, school, work and social life situations.

The Horse Wisdom Program is split in six 90 minute sessions tailored for the client !

This can be booked in groups of 4 or individually. Group discounts available !

We are thrilled to announce that enrollment for our first equine facilitated workshop is now open!

This workshop will take place on the 4th November 2023 from 9am till 1pm.

Our classes and workshops are designed through an approach that promotes the development of life skills for educational, professional and personal goals through equine-assisted activities. Apart from working on boosting confidence, coordination, balance, core strength, and flexibility, your child will gain important life lessons in self-awareness, courage, success, friendship and gain skills around communication styles and body language whilst working with a horse individually as well as working as a group to complete tasks.

We will also be announcing specialized skill workshops and classes throughout the year so keep an eye out for openings and opportunities to boost your child's skills!

Spaces are limited and available on a first-come, first-serve basis, so secure your child's place early.

Horses carry the wisdom of healing in their hearts and will offer it to any human who possess the humility to listen 🤗

In horse therapy, the clients engage in a client-horse relationship and build connection through interactions both from the ground and ridden.

Horses provide immediate feedback about what they feel in our neurobiology such as trauma and blocks. This is their natural instinct to protect themselves, the herd and you. Horses mirror what needs to be healed and resolved. Horses also have a powerful ability to focus on the here and now.

The need to communicate with horses in a calm manner also promotes emotional awareness, emotion regulation, self-control and impulse control.
