Founded on February 18, 1978
Modular Industries, formerly known as Modular Aluminium is a company established in 1978 by the late James Cauchi, his brother Charles Cauchi, John Mallia and Architect Joe Borg. Their first premises were in Villa Ambrosa Str. The first services the company provided were the manufacturing of aluminium apertures and roller shutters and the selling of aluminium profiles and fittings.
In the early eighties, Modular Aluminium moved to their present premises in Mill Street Qormi. The company was the first one to introduce on the market interior PVC doors and was also the first to locally manufacture threaded fasteners.
From the year 1983 onwards, the company was solely in the hands of the late James Cauchi and his brother Charles Cauchi as directors. Wrought iron works were introduced in 1995.
In the year 2008, after the retirement of director Charles Cauchi, the company changed management and fell in the hands of Ludwig Cauchi and Sue Ann Cassar as directors, both children of the late James Cauchi. The company formerly known as Modular Aluminium, changed its name to Modular Industries. The company changed and extended the services being offered.
Presently, Modular Industries manufactures stainless steel works, tempered glass doors, wrought iron and aluminium works, a vast range of aluminium main doors, glass railings and Aluminium Legno thermal apertures.
Modular Industries provides services and manufactures products of high standard and exceptional quality. The company strives to meet clients’ needs, offering reasonably priced services. With their creativity, Modular Industries can make any client’s wish a reality.
