We are seeking to recruit an in-house professional translator working mostly from English and French into Arabic and occasionally from Arabic into English.

We offer a one-year contract that may be extended for further 1-year periods upon satisfactory performance.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:
- A degree in translation studies from a recognized university;
- Arabic (target language) must be the applicant’s mother tongue or language of education;
- A very good command of English and French;
- A minimum of 03 years of experience (full-time) or 05 years (part-time) in the role;
- Full command of Trados 2014 or later version.

In addition to meeting all the mandatory requirements, the right candidate must:
- have a good knowledge of the way intergovernmental organizations function and a fair understanding of their multilingual policies;
- be well read and passionate about current issues especially SDGs; and
- have background knowledge of international diplomatic practices.
