Today, Is-Suq Tal-Belt stands as a vibrant and upscale destination for grocery shopping and delightful dining experiences. Originally a 19th-century market-hall, the structure was unfortunately demolished during World War II. However, in 2016-2017, AX Construction undertook a comprehensive renovation, breathing new life into this historical gem. AX Construction played a pivotal role in this significant project, starting with a controlled demolition and meticulous dismantling of stone structures. The team also conducted extensive archeological excavations to honor the site's rich history. Our skilled craftsmen employed a combination of traditional masonry techniques and state-of-the-art technologies to execute intricate construction works. The project also involved meticulous restoration of metal formations and historical masonry structures, both internally and externally, led by our in-house restoration team. 📢 Public Voting is open until 9th February 2022 https://www.maspawards.com/public-voting/ AX Construction was entrusted with the restoration of the Bastion, Gate, Belvedere, and Gardjola within the historic fortified city of Senglea. ✅ The Gardjola overlooking the dockyard and Senglea gate were replaced with accurate replicas due to the severe damage they have suffered along the years. ✅ With this renovation, the bastion facades, stone masonry, and clock tower were cleaned from overgrown vegetation, stains, and biological growth while damaged stone features were repaired or replaced, depending on their condition. ✅ Timber and metal apertures were also restored or replaced with structures of identical design.

Raise your hands for our own Mark Spiteri - Logistics and Cost Control Manager at AX Construction. You make us proud! Practically single-handedly, he organized and rallied people within our group and beyond to offer construction help, supplies and donations towards a house managed by Caritas Malta. This project when finished will allow inmates to spend the remaining 8 months of their sentence learning new skills and adapting to the new reality 🙌🙌🙌🙌 Here Mark together with fellow colleague from an NGO Caminiamo & @Bernard Schembri leading the project from Caritas rockin’ it on TVAM Works will commence in the next few months!!!
