Higher Diploma Spark 15 came together because of the different challenges that are being faced by refugee and migrant youth.
We are friends who enjoy meeting together, supporting each other to overcome challenges, and turning them into opportunities
During our Sudanese evening on Sunday our digital literacy students received their certificates for completing the course. Some may want to continue with our advanced course. We would like to thank our sponsors and we would also give a big thank you to our teachers. Without their time and energy this would have been impossible. So Thankyou .attard . Their full names are Bernard Cachia, Darren Cachia and Kevin Attard. ♥️

“I am Salim Muhammad, I am part of the spark15 football team, and I always go to the weekly football training. I love being part of a family, with football we form a close community. It is something I greatly look forward to. This training is not only my hobby but part of my stress relief.”
Our next journey has begun! ☘️
After three intense days of team development training this weekend, we're setting out to reimagine what home and belonging mean and create new stories, with Spark15 members and local residents. As part of the '𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐓𝐨? 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐢𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠' project, we want to look ahead, and talk about where we want to go, how we want to imagine our world going forward, through equitable means.
Over the next few days, we will start sharing insights from these sessions, so stay tuned 🙌 !

Spark15 have started another basic digital literacy course for persons with a protected status. This course will be followed by an advanced course. Thank you UNHCR Malta for funding this. And thanks Nagm Arbab for organizing!
Without volunteers we would really struggle to do our work!! Here is a BIG Thankyou to Alica Wittschen who spent three months teaching English to our students. Alica goes back to Germany to continue her studies in teaching. Good luck for your future and look us up if you ever pop back.
Spark15’s Advanced English class. These classes are two fold, they prepare students for the IELTS academic English exam for those who want to enter University, but they also serve as English classes for students who wish to further their English. We hold them for anyone with a protected status so if you know of anyone who might need these classes please pass the word around.
Mohamed Hussein is one of our students who just started our digital literacy course. Thank you for funding this 🙏

🌟 Building Bridges through Football ⚽
On September 24th, Mapfre in Malta teamed up with Spark15, an incredible NGO dedicated to improving the lives of refugees in Malta. Together, we organized a Football Tournament with a mission to foster integration and unity.
🏆 More Than Just a Game 🏆
Our 12 dedicated employees formed two teams, joining six other teams representing refugees in Malta. While we celebrated the winners and runners-up with trophies and medals, the true victory was in bringing communities together through the power of sports.
🙌 A Day of Togetherness 🙌
After the matches, all teams came together to share snacks and drinks. Special thanks to Pieta Grounds for hosting us on their football grounds!
Let's keep working together to build a more inclusive and supportive community. ❤️⚽
Checking out the kitchens at Valletta Cluster Design in preparation for our Sudanese Cooking Event next month (details coming out later). We’re very impressed.

⚠️ YREMASUD (Young Refugees, Migrants, Asylum Seekers, Undocumented persons) must have a say in policies that impact them. It is high time to include democratic and representative migrant-led organisations in decision-making and policy-making at all levels 🇪🇺 🚀
