✔️ Day 3 of ID Forum 2024, Friday the 14th of June started with our messages to the Youth Field, and creating and sharing actionable steps and messages!
✔️ And then the bittersweet moment of “see you again” had all the feelings of completing a successful ID Forum for once again with the promise to renew our date for 2026 :)
📆 11-14 June 2024 | Ostend, Belgium - FL

This week, we are participating in Inclusion and Diversity Forum event in Ostend, Belgium 🇧🇪
The event brought together more than 140 participants from different countries to share their success stories and challenges.
The "Coffee with Us" project taught us valuable lessons and provided opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities.

✔️ Day 1 of ID Forum 2024, Wednesday the 12th of June started with the official opening with speeches of Sophia Eriksson-Waterschoot, director of the ‘Youth, Education and Erasmus+’ Unit from the Commission Jan Vanhee, Chair of the Youth Working Party, Government of Flanders Koen Lambert, director of JINT (Eramus+ National Agency of Belgium-Flanders). Later, we continued with a panel discussion on advocacy and lobbying - experiences from the field with Noura Kaddaoui, Flemish Youth Council, Tina Schuermans, De Ambrassade, Bart Neirynck, Uit de Marge, and Pieter-Jan De Graeve, SALTO Inclusion & Diversity. Also, we had workshops for a common understanding of advocacy and lobbying: discussion in small groups
✔️ In the second half of the day, we had parallel sessions exploring advocacy and lobbying:
- Vita Vaisnyte - Legitimacy, representation and credibility
- Alexandra Crivilaru - The challenge and opportunities of Resources of advocacy and lobbying
- Salma Abbass - Doing it together - partnerships, coalitions, alliances in Advocacy and Lobbying
- Stian Smalo - The targets of advocacy and lobbying
- Elena-Cristina Torcatoru - 'Fighting' an uphill battle
- Aissatou Cisse - Boundaries, morals and ethics
- Loredana Dicsi - Lobbying - advocacy on steroids?
✔️ Lastly, we had workshops to discuss the challenges (and solutions) of advocacy: speed dating and the Tree of Learning.
