We are happy to present our new offices, located at Vivéa Business Park in Saint-Pierre. An empty space to fully design, in a small-sized building, were my selection criteria.

The layout of this industrial-looking volume (raw concrete slab ceiling and smooth screed flooring) turned out to be a fascinating project. Our offices are unique and welcoming, creating an atmosphere where it is a pleasure to live and work.

The creation of a materials library allows our clients to access numerous samples and catalogs from local suppliers.

The following contributed to the realization of these offices:

Vagalam for carpets
Ilhadorcine for framing the architectural drawings found in Rome
Plaisir du Jardin for the three black terracotta pots
Nature Sculpt for the green plants
Metalite Co Ltd for the lighting
D.Beekhun & Sons Ltd for the raffia sails
Free-Steel Création for the metal and glass partition in the meeting room
Ultraconstruction for painting and light partitions
Boiserie Decor for carpentry

The renovation of the C Beach Club in Bel Ombre was completed by our agency in 2018. A general restructuring of the spaces around the pool and in front of the bar completely redefined the bar and dining atmosphere of the venue.

The bar was extended with a covered veranda sheltering a suspended deck, where comfortable benches face the sea. Below the bar, lounges shaded by stretched sails were installed in the sand.

In front of the infinity pool, long and wide terraced decks were added, also serving as relaxation and fast dining spaces, all with a view of the ocean. Along the pool’s upper section, a covered pergola connects the main restaurant to the one under the thatched roof, providing more comfortable service and the option to dine sheltered, facing the sea.

The overall style, materials, and colors harmonize with the refinement of Telfair, the laid-back ambiance of a seaside setting, and the natural beauty of Mauritius.

Six years later... we are currently working on renovating the textiles and creating a new identity for C Beach Club through the use of colors.

At Heritage Le Telfair Golf & Wellness Resort, the reception features a gigantic chandelier made of rattan and wood, designed by our agency and locally crafted by
Litezone. This impressive light fixture, composed of multiple hanging elements, is sized to integrate perfectly with the arrival façade. Visible from the beginning of the main driveway through the façade openings, it adds a distinctive and enchanting touch to the hotel’s entrance.

Following its complete renovation in 2018, Hôtel Heritage le Telfair has become the 5-star boutique hotel of the Domaine de Bel Ombre. Our mission of interior architecture also transformed the hotel's façades and balustrades, simplifying and repainting them, and replacing the roofing. The refined interior design has made this hotel the flagship of luxury hotels in Mauritius.

In the Maison Coloniale at Constance La Gaieté, now the headquarters of the Constance Hotels & Resorts Group, a staircase with a metal structure and wooden steps connects the reception area to the attic and the meeting room.

Thanks to the large opening created in the attic floor to accommodate this new staircase, it is possible to see the magnificent framework of the Maison Coloniale from the reception area. Under this framework, a large cube is installed in the attic. This is the meeting room, a glass and metal box, whose transparency allows users to appreciate the beauty of the 18th-century framework.

Nestled in the heart of Veranda Grand Baie Hotel & Spa, an enchanting journey awaits every guest, framed by the exquisite panoramic wallpaper from Les Dominotiers. Known for their intricate and culturally rich designs, the Parisian editor's MORIS collection offers a visual escape into the soul of Mauritius.

Each room, from the reception to the guestrooms and the intimate restaurant area, features these stunning designs. The MORIS collection immerses visitors in the island's natural and cultural beauty, turning every corner of the hotel into a storybook scene. In the restaurant, the wallpaper transforms the dining experience into a banquet within a lush Mauritian landscape, while in the bedroom, guests wake up within a tranquil, azure-hued island haven.

At Veranda Grand Baie, the choice of Les Dominotiers’ papier peint is more than decorative; it’s an integral part of our commitment to blending aesthetics with an authentic Mauritian spirit.

A tribute to 2 artists who passed away in similar circumstances and who worked with me on the renovation of the Sugar Beach reception in 2022: my friend Florent Beusse, whose magnificent drawings adorn the reception, and my life partner Philippe Pierga, a talented architect, who designed the canopy for the reception.

Tides, the beach restaurant at Long Beach Mauritius (Your Sunlife), was renovated by our agency in 2023. From the entrance to Tides, the areas surrounding the restaurant and bar have been designed under shade sails, giving this dining and relaxation spot its unique identity, coherence, and harmony.

Large rechargeable lanterns from the brand Varaschin accentuate the seating groups set in the sand. Bar chairs from the brand Vincent Sheppard enhance the bar area, adding to the overall stylish and comfortable ambiance. Additional ambient lighting has been added to create a warm and inviting nighttime atmosphere.

The entrance to Tides has been redesigned, including the reception counter, which has been both drawn and relocated. The kitchen windows, previously opening onto the reception area and emitting a harsh white light, have been adorned with teak screens. Some existing furniture pieces have been refurbished, while most are new.

We would like to thank our suppliers: Spot et Lumière and Manser Saxon.

The penthouse in Mont-Choisy la Réserve (Mont Choisy Group), Grand-Baie, was recently delivered to our clients, who reside in Europe. A large terrace surrounds the living room, offering a magnificent view of Grand-Baie Bay and Coin de Mire. In the living/dining room, a coffered false ceiling was created, adorned with ravenal and white-painted wood beams.

The rugs are from Nanimarquina, and the coffee tables in the living room are from DDR Design. The sofas are from Roche Bobois, and the dining room suspension is from Nowodvorski Lighting. The armchairs in the living room are from Vincent Sheppard , and the dining table is from Weylandts. The dining chairs are from Normann Copenhagen, and the entrance sideboard was made locally by Manser Saxon Contracting Ltd.

We would like to thank our suppliers EKLA, Manser Saxon, Clardy, and Euphoria Home Styling.

In 2023, we completely renovated this 450 m² penthouse in Erok, a luxurious residential building in Grand Baie. This apartment currently under construction, left abandoned during Covid, has been stripped bare and completely redesigned. The sleek design, selected finishes and contemporary interior design make this penthouse an elegant and modern place to reside.

In 2018, we renovated the Veranda Tamarin Hotel & Spa for Rogers Hospitality Mauritius. The interior architecture and decor cater to a young, sporty clientele eager to explore Mauritius in all its human, geographical, and cultural dimensions.

Surfing takes center stage, as Tamarin has been a legendary spot for surfers since the 1960s. Comfortable, simple furniture, wall murals, and community-oriented space layouts create a convivial, warm, and bohemian atmosphere.

In 2021, in collaboration with architect Jean-Philippe Piat, we are participating, for Enatt-Ascencia (Ascencia), in the creation of '42 Market Street,' (Bagatelle Mall) all a 1,500-square-meter space dedicated to 30 small and medium Mauritian enterprises.

The interior design creates an unusual environment that surprises and enriches the customer experience. By focusing on the distribution of various spaces and their aesthetics, we transform this commercial space into a dynamic market that highlights local entrepreneurship while also supporting community engagement and economic growth.

At Sugar Beach Mauritius , the entrance to the main restaurant is adorned with a white wooden pergola, a design element that echoes the existing poolside pergolas. Positioned under the arch of the façade, this pergola becomes a focal point of the renovation.

The ‘Restaurant Reception’ area, which did not exist before the renovation, is now created. We have installed a seating area enhanced with a large exotic visual, a double row of green plants, and hanging lanterns, making the entrance to the main restaurant welcoming and elegant.

In the last picture, you can see facade arch before the renovation.

The creation of this pergola perfectly reflects our approach to projects and how we work with volumes. From 2021 to the present, we have renovated the reception, the main restaurant, the rooms, and the Buddha Bar, focusing on redefining spaces.

The interior design then settles into these redefined spaces, inspired by sugar cane and the luxury of old sugar plantations.

For Heritage Le Telfair Golf & Wellness Resort, our interior architecture mission also extends to the transformation of the façades and exterior railings.

Most of the embellishments that adorned these façades and railings have been removed, the exterior paint has been redesigned, and the color of the tin roofs has been changed. The interior design blends history, luxury, and modernity.

The artwork in the rooms pays tribute to botanist Charles Telfair, featuring prints designed by the renowned couturier Christian Lacroix.

As a member of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World, the hotel offers guests fine dining, exclusive spa facilities, and an award-winning golf course. Hôtel Heritage le Telfair stands out among luxury hotels in Mauritius, providing guests of all ages an opportunity to explore local culture and heritage in the tranquility of Bel Ombre.

Discover the transformation of the Maison Coloniale at Constance La Gaité into the new headquarters of the group Constance Hotels & Resorts.

We exposed the original wooden structure of the colonial house and complemented it with glass and metal office partitions, leaving a 10cm gap between the structure and the partitions.

This conceptual approach allows the colonial architecture and contemporary renovation to coexist, creating a symbiosis between past and present. The photos illustrate this transformation.

In collaboration with Sun Life Resorts (Your Sunlife), we reimagined the interior design of Sugar Beach, revitalizing its reception, main restaurant, and accommodations.

The renovation, spanning from 2021 to 2023, intricately blends the rich heritage of sugar cane and the grandeur of sugar estates into a contemporary luxury experience. This project marks a significant milestone in the resort's history.

The revamped spaces now feature a fresh volumetric approach, setting a new standard for luxury accommodations on the westcoast.

We're thrilled to share that Veranda Grand Baie Hotel & Spa , reimagined by our agency, has been featured in the renowned French magazine Le Point in February 2024. This piece celebrates the rebirth of a Mauritian charm at the heart of Grand Baie.

"Feel Mauritius, feel Mauritian," the philosophy of our eco-responsible renovation, resonates throughout the feature. Praised for its spacious rooms drenched in vegetation and the tropical ambiance crafted through soft hues and vintage furniture, the hotel embodies the narrative of Mauritian life.

As quoted in the article, "Veranda Resorts, one of the pioneers of charming hospitality on the island of Mauritius, reopened in July 2023 one of its emblematic addresses, Veranda Grand Baie. Completely rethought by Mauritian architect Jean-Philippe Piat and interior designer Paule de Romeuf, the venue has elevated to the rank of a four-star hotel with a strong local anchor."

We are honored that Le Point has recognized the artistry and vision behind Veranda Grand Baie. This acknowledgment is a testament to our dedication to creating spaces that embody the spirit and culture of their locales.

In July 2023, the doors of the newly renovated Veranda Grand Baie Hotel & Spa reopened, inviting guests to experience the warmth and elegance of an authentic Creole family home. Crafted by our agency, this transformation pays homage to the vibrant soul of Mauritius.

Each space within the hotel has been meticulously designed to foster a connection with the island’s essence. Soft tones and vintage furniture, alongside natural materials like rattan, raffia, and wicker, create a serene tropical atmosphere, evoking a sense of carefree island living. The walls feature wallpapers capturing stunning Mauritian landscapes, and selected engravings narrate the island's rich tapestry of fauna, flora, and history.

To reflect the tranquility and cultural heritage of Mauritius, we sourced some antique furniture and lighting fixtures from local dealers. Additionally, all furniture and lighting fixtures were manufactured by local Mauritian companies, underscoring our commitment to supporting the local economy and artisans.

The Veranda Grand Baie is more than just a hotel; it is a testament to the harmonious blend of comfort, culture, and the unique charm of Mauritian life.
