An architect is a generalist, not a specialist - the conductor of a symphony - or a virtuoso who plays every instrument perfectly.
As a practitioner, an architect coordinates a team of professionals that include structural and mechanical engineers, interior designers, buiIding-code consultants,
landscape architects, specifications writers, contractors, and specialists from other disciplines.

Typically, the interests of some team members will compete with the interests of others.

An architect must know enough about each discipline to negotiate and synthesize competing demands while honoring the needs of the client and the integrity of the entire project.

friend asked me to assist with his garden - as this is a holiday home and because of covid along with the island in lock down - the garden just disintegrated! its been a year in the making along with loads of help! a few signature plants still to be placed - just cant decide where!!!!! i hope you enjoy seeing the improvements as much as i did doing it!

Symmetry is a personal favourite architectural tool for creating harmony and a sense of stability and calm. Symmetry embodies the structure with a hidden secret that presents its self in the same reserved way as a superbly tailored Savile Row suit. The close fitted lining of the suit represented by walls rendered in complementing textures – managing reflecting light in different zones in appropriate ways to how a particular space will be inhabited. We have waited a long line for a client like this – willing to trust us with a project of this nature and at the same time encouraging us to re visit and explore many elements of design that I have worked with in the last 45 years. We are up and out of the ground.
