Mourgate Pe Danse is the sophomore E.P of Dutch music producer, JO BISSA of the duo UMOJA, and Mauritian artist, Kan, who currently heads the eco-centric Trash To Music project. A follow-up to Enn Losean Vivab which served to introduce their collaboration to the public and acted as the teaser to a full-length LP, Losean.

This project was born from KAN's willingness to sensitise the general public about the damage being caused to Mauritian waters by pollution. Since one of Babani Records' aims is to have local and international artists collaborate, this willingness soon became a collaborative project where JO BISSA came in the mix.

This tribute to the sea is represented in the symbiosis of organic and electronic sounds. KAN's background as a multi-instrumentalist beautifully blends with JO BISSA's downtempo ternary beats that emulate the sonorities of Mauritian Sega.

Mourgat Pé Dansé is a further invitation to dive deep into this duo's vast musical ocean.

Catch me this Saturday 25th of March as from 16h30 at the Ecstatic Cacao Dance Festival at THE GREEN VILLAGE organized by the Cacao Mama Mauritius.

I will play a unique set beyond the multicultural rhythms and the steady hypnotic beat where ephemeral chanting of sacred songs and calls to love, kindness and compassion will journey deep into dance while held in a ceremonial container, free of alcohol to close the event.
