Responsibilities
————————
- Create a rich sushi menu with various main ingredients and raw fish (for example, salmon, tuna, unagi)
- Prepare all types of sushi, including maki, nigiri and sashimi and adding additional flavors to sushi rolls with ginger, rice vinegar, wasabi and soy sauce, when appropriate
- Manage food prep activities, like boiling rice.
- Coordinate with our wait staff to ensure proper cooking, considering special requests and food allergies
- Prepare appetizers, soups and salads that are close to the philosophy of Japanese cuisine
- Monitor food stock and place orders, as needed
- Recommend new, modern recipes
- Maintain hygiene principles in all cooking areas and clean your space at the end of the shift

Requirements
———————
** Work experience as a Sushi Chef or at an Asian restaurant
- Good knowledge of various sushi types and sushi-rolling techniques
- Ability to work quickly and accurately
- Team spirit
- Availability to work during business hours, including weekends and evenings
- Flexibility to take on various shifts
- Previous culinary experience and certification.

* Valid Driver's license with a clean Driving Record
* Sound knowledge of road safety regulations
* Working knowledge of local roads and routes (Hulhumale' and Male' )
* Punctual and reliable
* Effective communication skills plus exceptional customer service skills

Seating will be limited due to social distancing so we highly recommend to contact us ahead and make a reservation.

We will be resuming our delivery services to Male' and Hulhumale' from tomorrow (29.05.2020). Our delivery hours will be from 3pm-11pm everyday except Sundays until such time the lockdown is lifted.
In order to minimize direct contact and to ensure everyone's safety, we will be delivering the food only to the ground floor of the building.

It brings us a lot of sadness to announce that given the current state of lockdown we are in due to COVID-19, we have decided to cease our delivery service and close Oishii until such a time as the lockdown is lifted.

During this pandemic of Covid-19, it's important to look out for everyone and stay at home. We at Oishii miss having you here, but we'd love it even more for you to be safe at home and thus, we are bringing Oishii to you.

From tomorrow onwards, we are officially starting our deliveries to Male' in addition to within Hulhumale'.
