We were delighted to host the principal, 40 students from grade 10, and 7 officials from Sh. Funadhoo School at Maldives Polytechnic. It was a pleasure showing them around our labs and workshops, where they explored the diverse range of courses we offer.

Our Story
It all began on Tuesday, the 14th day of October in 1975, a new institute with a brand new vision and a brand new purpose was established by the Government of Maldives. The name of the institute was, The Vocational Training Centre (VTC). As the first institute of its kind, VTC became the guiding light for hundreds of youth who had lost hope to succeed in life as they were not able to seek the formal education that existed in the country at that time. VTC became the source to make them believe in themselves.
With very limited resources, and a handful of Instructors, VTC began to train the youth of Maldives. The first training courses to begin were Electrical Trade, Welding and Sheet Metal, Machining, Engine Repair and Maintenance.
From that day on, the institute never looked back, but continued to serve the nation by developing and training the local work force in different fields of work.
