A Mediterranean-style house encapsulating the essence of a well-decorated, compact yet minimalist space with touches of the island’s tropical atmosphere.

Interior renovation through the development of a calm indoor setting responding to human needs. The furniture and space layout harmonizes a space’s practicality and aesthetics along with the building’s existing framework.

Vernacular meets modernity.
This design offers new ways to consider the symbiotic relationship between function and design, whilst also being in harmony with the built environment of the island

Inspired by the local housing of the island, this house employs vernacular architecture’s space patterns reinterpreted in the lens of contemporary modern design

Mosque Project~

Byzantine + islamic mosaics inspired design

Byzantine architecture is characterized with massive domes, square bases and arches with extensive use of glass mosaics.
Similarly inspirations from byzantine architectural features are modified and implied to the design.

Glass mosaic dome allows the light to pe*****te throughout the interior.

Turquoise color used gives a little reference to our beautiful ocean.

Wrapping up 2022 with one last project update!

Residential Project~

The project mainly focused on utilizing the functionality of small compact spaces with the
use of space saving furnitures and playing with light.

The full height windows allocated maximizes light and ventilation throughout the interior space taking consideration the limited facade oppotunity due the location.

The lower floor is designed for commercial use. A modern contemporay office with energetic bright orange with white symbolizes a balance and creates a focal point to create a fun, creative office space.

Top floor:
A skylight feature right above the dining, kitchen area gives the openness in a compact living space especially in such a dense city.

Main color scheme
Use of warm pop of orange partnered with shades of brown makes the space look more cozy and inviting.

Kids Room Concept B~

The Bedroom is designed with loft beds which is a great choice for smaller rooms. Storages spaces, study desks and wardrobes which are incorporated within the design, creates a fun and cozy area for kids.

A small play area is designed with beanbags and chalk board, making it more playful.

Both room options are designed to maximize and utilize a smaller space and to make it more functional.
Color palette is harmoniously combined with softer blues, reds and yellows providing a cheerful, warm and positive atmosphere

Kids Room Concept A~

The bedroom is equipped with bunk bed to maximize the overall space of the room. Bunk bed with stair storage, full height wardrobes and storages utilize the vertical spaces of the room effectively.
Individual study areas are designed for kids to have their own space within a shared space.

Both room options are designed to maximize and utilize a smaller space and to make it more functional.

Interior Residential Project ~

This project is located in the midst of a densely populated, crowded region in Male’. Therefore, the interior design delivers a vibrant, contrasting ambiance from the outside, maximizing a home’s warmth.

The Color palette is harmonized by hues of blue, grey and gold accents, providing a vivid, calming atmosphere.

The main bedroom is optimized through storage and properly placed furniture options. It balances all the elements within a space, from small intimate details to the furnishings.

For the Living, Kitchen & Dining area, the space is designed for family dining and gatherings. Wall spaces are utilized for storage making it more usable. As the overall space is constrained, harmonious shades are used with proportionately sized furnishing giving the right homey ambiance needed.

The space allows for gatherings and family dining. We maximized use of wall space for storage and the clean rectangular area to use for everyday purposes. Check out the before photo for how disorganized the space was and the transformation we achieved.

One of the main change to the bathroom was the entrance. Before the entry was through the kitchen. Now we have it on the other side hidden away. This space also maximize storage with a Niche for accessories and mirror w/ medicine cabinet.

The kid envisioned to have a sleeping area that doesn’t take the whole room. So we custom designed the furniture for this room to achieve our goal of having all uses fulfilled.
