COFFEE STATE PIANO COMPETITION

1. PRIZE
• 1st Place: MVR 10,000
• 2nd Place: MVR 4,000
• 3rd Place: MVR 2,000
• Coffee State Favorites: Coffee State Gift Voucher worth MVR1,000 and MVR 500
2. PERIOD
• Recording dates – 20th January to 10th February 2024 (6:00pm).
• Videos will be uploaded on the day and the order in which we receive them.
• Competition will run till 21st February 2024 (11:59pm).
• The winners will be announced on 24th February 2024.
3. PARTICIPATION
• State Piano Competition is open for pianists, piano duos, and group performances.
• The competition is open to pianists of all age groups.
• Contestants have to shoot their videos, edit, and send the video via file format within the 30 minutes allocated to them.
• DM to Coffee State Instagram account to get a slot for recording.
• The video should be 1080px x 1920px with a 9:16 aspect ratio.
• Recordings exceeding 90 seconds will not be accepted.
• The only instrument contestants can use is the piano in Coffee State. The recital can be accompanied by vocals.
• Each competitor is responsible for videography of their submission.
4. EXCLUSION OF PARTICIPATION
• If the video and/or sound is unclear, Coffee State reserves the right not to upload the recording.
• Songs which are sung should not have lyrics with obscene, lewd, or offensive language.
• Sound editing, or playback is forbidden.
5. RIGHTS OF USE
• Each entrant consents to their work being shown on Coffee State social media platforms or other outlets deemed suitable by the organizers.
6. DETERMINATION OF WINNER
• All submissions will be reviewed and if the criteria for the participation are met, will be uploaded to Instagram reels. All visitors can vote for their favorite submissions. The reel with the most Likes wins.
7. WINNER NOTIFICATION
• The winners will be contacted via the messaging application through which the video was submitted. They have 24hrs to reply to the message before their prize is forfeited.
8. The competition is in no way affiliated with Instagram.
