Call To Earth Day. Nov. 10th. #CallToEarth At the Jacaranda School for Orphans in Malawi Art is their form of expression. Students chose to express themselves on this “Call to Earth” day by speaking out through their creations. Students painted a mural with different kinds of soil they collected around their school. Then they went into the village and picked trash such as bottle tops, cardboard, plastics, empty milk cartons and other small objects and created this other banner. The students felt the need to tell the World why it is important to recycle because the things we throw in the rivers or in open space contribute to global warming and climate change. So they turned the waste into making a statement and they used the soil from Earth to paint the beautiful mural.

Calling all artists! For this year's Jacaranda Foundation Virtual Gala we are asking artists around the world to create a tree that is meaningful to them. The talented students at the Jacaranda School for Orphans in Malawi are hard at work creating their artworks and celebrating their beloved trees. 🌲🌳🌵🌱 Would you like to participate in our Global Art Challenge? Happy International Women's Day
Happy International Women's Day! Together here are Edith and Sheila who run our entrepreneurship classes for women in our villages communities - with some of their students: aunts, mothers or grandmothers of our Jacaranda School children. We dedicate this day to these incredibly hard working women who find the time to follow the course in order to improve their small business skills. 👏👏👏 They can then grow their businesses and their earnings - which further supports the children at home. And they are the best role models for their children. 💜💜💜
