It’s with sad hearts that we announce the news that Akumal Investments co-founder, Stephanie Marie McGee Motley passed away
Sunday evening near her home in Tucson, Arizona.

June 18, 1957 - August 21, 2022

Our thoughts are with her family during this difficult time.

End of The Line?
Indeed, this is a rendering of the Tren Maya Termnal in Tulum. It's the end of Section 5 that runs from the Cancun Airport to Tulum. There's also going to be a station (smaller than a terminal) in Akumal. The section is scheduled to begin operation in 2023. As conceived, it could be a boon to Akumal and make it easier for visitors and residents to avoid having to rent a car and drive from the airport to Akumal.
End of the line but beginning of something good, let's keep our fingers crossed.
