Definitely my favorite thing about the Baja is the surf breaks. I’m not a surfer but I truly enjoy catching the surfers on the waves.

In Mexico there are thousands of master artisans. They are descendants of our prehispanic cultures, they are the guardians of the traditions. Here we see a man whom has been working the loom for over 2 decades. He learned this from his father and mother as did they. This loom was built by his grandfather, in the second picture you can see all the threads, over 3 hundred. Setting up the loom takes him over 2 weeks and to create one of the simple pieces takes him 6 to 7 hours. Something more complex will take 3 or 4 days and the most incredible ones take weeks to make.

Have you been to Balandra beach? One of the most beaches in the world. This “natural pool” is the perfect place to spend with your family and friends. Sometimes you can walk all over the place with the water still to your chest. Famous for its mushroom shaped rock, which most people photograph, meaning there’s always people making a line so this time I hiked and ended up with this incredible view where you are able to truly appreciate the turquoise colors and how clear the water is!

This luxury and prestigious hotel dates back to the 50’s. When it first opened it had 15 rooms and one perfect location. Today it is still considered one of the best hotels in Mexico and recognized world wide as well.
The way the sunrise hits it every morning is something magical. Turning the white colors into an orange reflecting from the morning sunshine.

Mexico is not always the dusty town with adobe homes. Yes, those exist but we also have multimillion dollar homes. Something for everyone in Mexico. Where’s your favorite spot?

One of the most important elements in the Mexican gastronomy are its salsas! Here the salsa is displayed on its most emblematic form.. inside the molcajete! Molcajete is a prehispanic utensil made of a volcanic rock. Molcaxitl in náhuatl and known as a Tamul in Yucatán, this is something that can’t be missing in a Mexican kitchen.

One of the most satisfying things of doing a water excursion is encountering these friendly faces

Corn, one of the most important ingredients in Mexican gastronomy. Countless dishes are prepared with this beautiful ingredient. Here a common street food, elote. The whole corn, cooked and then covered with different ingredients. You can put mayo, lime, cheese, Chile and many more. Each prehispanic culture have their own legend as to how corn was given to them going back thousands of years. There are 64 types of corns in Mexico, 54 of those being endemic to Mexico. Unfortunately with all the GMO’s used in agriculture less farmers use all of the different kinds and focus on one, what this those is help the other ones disappear, thankfully there are farmers and chefs promoting the natural growth of all kinds of corns in Mexico to preserve this millennial ingredient.

The sunsets in Holbox are a Mexican treasure! Located in the north part of the Yucatán peninsula, Holbox is part of the Yum Balam Nature Reserve. This island is car free! Beautiful murals in every street and it’s marine life is incredible! You’ll be able to meet whale sharks, sea turtles and so much more! Oh, also you get to enjoy breath taking sunsets!! Sunrise in Los Cabos. Going out fishing for me here is so much more than just the fishing. I always focus more on the pictures but I’ve had the luck that every time I’ve gone deep sea fishing here I’ve come back with something. Guess I’m the lucky charm😉
