We do! September 2022 is when we met Stackit Founder and CEO, Rene Reyes and his team, including Pompilio Fiore and Gimer Cervera. They flew into Mérida, stayed for a few days, and the next thing we hear is that Rene is moving to Mérida!

Rene´s extended visit afforded opportunities to meet with SHM CEO, Jacqueline Navarrete, Technical Coach, Sergio Duran, Mantix4´s Project Manager, Tom O'Donnell, Birkman Developer, Igor Amendola, Front-End Developer | React, Rodrigo Gamboa Torres, and our newest partner, Karina Sánchez Bautista of Simbiosis.

And when a potential partner visits our offices the deeper aspects of a business relationship can unfold.

🔵 Visits reveal the¨WHY¨. By adding the richness that only place and the people involved can reveal the desire to connect in the first place.
🔵 Visits also present opportunities to address the ¨HOW¨ through a solution-based filter. Brainstorming from multiple perspectives creates an atmosphere of cooperation and connection.
🔵 And this uncovers the ¨WHAT¨. Exploring and expanding opportunities within our partner network definitely provides fresh resources with a face!

We first met Marcus Vickers, PMP, ITIL when he lead one of our Client teams. This visit allowed us to learn about OCEUS where he serves as their Sales Engineer. For us, listening to the excitement behind an innovation and a bit outside of our wheelhouse was thrilling.

Our Marketing and Partnership Development Director, Benné Rockett, made sure that business was balanced by a few moments of fun.

Over the course of Marcus’s stay he was able to meet with members of the Mantix4 team, including Project Manager, Tom O'Donnell O’Donnell.
An office visit followed by a long lunch with SHM CEO, Jacqueline Navarrete, left us greatly inspired to explore additional service opportunities to Mérida and the Yucatan. We introduced Marcus to one of our favorite partners, Rene Reyes, Founder of Stackit. They took a day trip and of course talked shop.

At Software House Mérida we embrace excellence as a value and innovation as a key competency for the company’s growth.

SHM founder, Jerry Westrick, will step out of his role as CEO and take on the new role of VP of Innovation. In his new position, Jerry will be responsible for creating and managing new products, services, and systems in order to find new ways to generate revenue and profits for SHM by working with other departments in
the organization, such as the Administrative Team and Senior Management Team.

So, who is stepping into the role of CEO? SHM Chief Financial Officer, Jacqueline Navarrete, will move into the role of SHM
Chief Executive Officer. In her new position, Jacqui will assume all the responsibilities of the CEO and will transition out of her CFO duties within the SHM Administrative Team.

Jacqui and Jerry will be working together to define the Innovation
Department's direction and goals.

Client visits are an integral part of team building.
