Estudio de Diseño, Arquitectura sostenible - Eco-efectividad
PAUL CREMOUX studio is an architectural firm committed to distinguished, sustainable eco-effective building designs. Our goal is to produce architecture that celebrates life, enriches the natural environment, and elevates the human condition. Our method has a modern sensibility and is determined by an integrated concept that balances environment enrichment proposals, beauty and social responsibility with the client’s needs and desires.
FARMACIA PARIS, a business that has existed for more than 75 years in the Historic Center of Mexico City, has asked us for the design and strategic development of a new identity for its retail spaces. This request has allowed us to revitalize an institution that has been a cornerstone in the community, breathing new life into it while respecting and honoring its rich history.
We have unveiled a design based on the primary idea of the old “Botica,” evoking the memory of this family business’s founding days and its human and personalized spirit. This nostalgic approach not only celebrates Farmacia París’s legacy but also creates a bridge to future generations, keeping alive the essence of personalized service and human connection that has always characterized the pharmacy.
Person-to-person contact and direct product reachability constitute a parameter of paramount interest for the new brand. This approach ensures that customers continue to experience the attentive and personal service that has been the cornerstone of Farmacia Paris’s success for decades. Our initial design is a foundational proposal upon which all future retail spaces will be developed, ensuring visual and experiential coherence at every customer touchpoint. Additionally, the new design incorporates modern elements that facilitate a more efficient and pleasant shopping experience without sacrificing the traditional touch that customers value. The layout of products, signage, and materials used in the interior design has been carefully selected to reflect a blend of tradition and modernity.
In summary, the redesign of Farmacia París’s retail spaces aims to celebrate its legacy while adapting to contemporary needs, creating an environment that is both familiar and innovative. GC Fermin Espinosa.
CASA HUIZACHE, San Miguel de Allende, MEXICO. A visual artist and his fiancée’s house and studio were designed with various themes in mind, such as the physical context, client needs, security, and a limited budget.
Six options were analyzed during the schematic design stage to control the wind from the northeast, sunlight, light quality, cost, energy, and specific operating expenses. By using design performance tools and technologies such as Fluid Dynamics, Energy Consumption Analysis, Material Life Cycle Assessment, and Climate Analysis, sustainable strategies were identified. The building is self-sufficient and will provide the site with an aquifer recharge that does not currently exist.
The main masses are distributed around a courtyard, creating a moderately open construction towards the interior and closed to the outside. The courtyard contains a Huizache tree, surrounded by a water mirror that refreshes and forms a central part of the courtyard.
The house comprises three main volumes, each oriented at different angles to highlight different views for each area. The patio is the primary circulation stratagem, providing a refuge from the wind, a connection to the sky, and a night sky observatory. We aim to establish a deep relationship with the site by including the open space of the patio.

The End of Mexico’s Delicate Democracy.
The beginning of a totalitarian regime.
Morena’s party’s new president will continue to bring back Mexico to its darkest times.
Don’t be confused; in Mexico, the progressive left did not win; quite the opposite.
And although they call themselves that way, they are not.
True left progressives do not:
- Destroy sustainable projects to build hydrocarbon refineries.
- Oppose the middle class.
- Disregard science and knowledge.
- Dismantle the health system, leaving the poorest and most vulnerable unprotected.
- Abandon social programs for small populist campaigns aimed at electoral gains.
- Oppose the aspiration for self-improvement and environmental betterment.
- Promises to give “kisses” to criminals and drug traffickers instead of enforcing the law.
And above all, no good government claims to be above the law, as President AMLO, creator of the political Party “Morena,” has mentioned many times.
After an administration dedicated to dismantling the country’s institutions and undermining its young democratic system—the very system that brought them to power—Mexicans have decided to continue with the alarming prospect of moving towards a totalitarian state, and if that was not enough bad news, even more worrying, intertwined with crime and drug cartels, turning back to the darkest possible place the country has never experience.

The project foresees the opportunity to use reinterpretation as a consistent creative tool. The new construction relinks to the notion of history and accustomed living behaviour patterns by mimicking an orientation strategy and an elementary functional diagram. Open space allows direct sunlight to enter from the south side; the east and the west side are offset inner plots, so the only north side is at the property line. The idea is to transit from a 2,754 sq. ft—old construction to a 1,937 sq. ft. One, mainly the same program, roughly different space quality experiences. President Lopez Obrador is consolidating power in Mexico, eroding democratic institutions, fostering a single-party dominance, undermining the middle class, accumulating unprecedented national debt, and jeopardizing healthcare for millions of impoverished Mexicans. Additionally, his investment in environmentally detrimental hydrocarbons further exacerbates the situation.
Understanding the site of a big slope condition can create interesting unseen architectural designs. We carefully model all elements of the terrain with the help of a point cloud surveyor and regular topographic services to pinpoint the point location of every single living tree. Architectural Design responds to a multiplicity of factors making the site one of paramount importance.

Casa SaMa,
Our goal at Casa SaMa is to implement sustainable and energy-saving concepts from the beginning of the design phases. To achieve this, we have incorporated various strategies that align with the core values of the site. Our lot is situated in the lower area of a ravine, forming part of a residential complex that overlooks a gorgeous federal zone full of trees.
Unlike nearby plots of land, where 47% of each is built, our project utilizes only 9.7% of the land. The focus of the project is to build as little as possible while not only creating views but also producing more tree space than the one that already exists. We are reforesting this ecological niche with over 560 endemic trees.

Located in the west side valley of Mexico City, Casa Tolu is a beautiful family residence nestled in a deep glen surrounded by trees and endemic vegetation. We are currently experimenting with an eco-friendly Green concrete basement that separates the upper living floor and access areas from the private quarters.
The elongated living room space is created using reclaimed wood, giving it a warm and inviting feel. The social areas can be transformed into an open pavilion with sliding door systems on both sides, offering stunning views of the surrounding property.
