When a designer’s daily coffee run becomes a love affair with a spot in Mexico City, collaborations become imminent. This is how our journey with Raku began - from being our favorite cafe to receiving the invitation to design their brand.

Inspired by Japanese gastronomy and ceramics blended with Mexico’s local coffee scene, we began to craft Raku´s identity. We aimed to give the brand a solemn yet relaxed feel to it: we take coffee seriously but we love a good time. So, our mascots were created to help communicate this feeling. The majestic Snow Monkey and the carefree Capybara portray our favorite activity: dipping ourselves in good coffee and savoring the simple joy it brings.

Raku, this café wasn’t brewed by capybaras in any Japanese mount by the banks of the Fuji River. It’s designed by Futura.

After launching our Items by Futura Store, we got some exciting news – Dos Equis Lager, one of the biggest beer makers in Mexico, reached out to commission us for an exclusive collaboration during Pride Month.

The ‘X’ in XX Lager was combined with the use of the ‘X’ as the gender-neutral alternative in Spanish, establishing the base for the pride campaign.

Given that representing inclusivity was our core purpose, we brought in members of the LGBTQ+ community at Futura to help lead the project, as they contributed fresh and relevant ideas, ensuring that the results were representative of the values of Pride Month and aligned with XX Lager’s vision.

Saigoncito, the first Vietnamese Banh-Mi street food stall in Mexico City.

In Vietnam, much like in Mexico City, street food is everywhere. When designing Saigoncito´s identity our goal was to incorporate typical staples of the Vietnamese graphic language. Our chunky-typographical logo and adorable Banh-mi eating illustrated characters, blend the visual richness of their intense and exciting street food culture, into our brand’s personality.

DayOff is a beach bar & restaurant located in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. For this project, we condensed the identity of the city but with a fresh twist - authentic, modern but also elegant - promoting it to be the ultimate choice for a vacation experience. 

The sun-soaked mascot created for this project is the epitome of the perfect day off. The logotype symbolizes unwinding, evoking drying the seawater out while eating dripping cheddar from the best comfort food, and the inspiration behind this project: NA— CHOS.

Panarama is an Art Gallery + Concept store based in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. Their main objective is to condense the location's essence - tropical surroundings and beautiful beaches - to promote culture from within the Riviera Maya, by offering a curated and unique collection of art pieces, such as textiles, objects and prints. Panarama prioritizes creativity and innovation, but more importantly they prioritize collaboration with  designers and artists, showcase limited-edition or exclusive products, and provide a platform to offer pieces that can only be found in the Riviera. And also, delicious barista-style coffee 

The interior design is inspired by this essence: the colors of the natural surroundings of the store are that of its walls.
The icon emerges as a satire of the duct taped banana, as a fun way to remind ourselves, and consumers, that we have no intention of being a snobbish art gallery but rather to provide a space for them to find beautiful art and culture.

From dusk till dawn, and all year round, no one can deny that the Tropic is above all, one thing: Majestic. In collaboration with Simca, we aimed to capture this essence in our latest project. Our approach involved a lifestyle-centered photographic style, where the golden hour was our best ally, while incorporating elements of macro photography. Because in the tropic, natural beauty thrives from the smallest detail to the most breathtaking views.

During the last 14 years of Futura we have focused our energy on solving problems with the intention of generating certainty to our clients and friend. But lately, we felt that we could amplify our dilemmas looking for new questions. Trusting our team in Ciudad de Mexico, we ventured into something that we always wanted: a path yet un-walked, of complete darkness, where every decision is a riddle.

Campos () is a residential project based in Polanco, Mexico City. For this project we were inspired by the eclectic atmosphere of the project and the Art Deco architecture of the place.
We used the combination of various types portraying an elegant and sophisticated lifestyle.
The neutral color palette is also complemented with various textures that make reference to pewter, this as a nod to the Mexican collective while keeping it sophisticated.

Infocus Media is an audiovisual production agency based in Dubai. For this brand it was crucial to highlight their adaptability and the capacity of using technology, art and their local culture for each project.
The logo reflects the value of a contemporary studio, customized with a modern sans-serif typeface that combines geometric borders. The color palette uses black, white and medium gray coexisting with a vibrant gradient that intervene on the brand graphics adding a modern touch.

Postorganic is an exploration project where we show the moment in which non biological intelligence merges with living beings. On the attempt to improve our abilities from our senses we push the limits of the “self” and the “being” having a fading reality as the major consequence.
