Playa Del Carmen Authorities Issue Warnings For Tourists As Shark Sightings Rise Recent social media videos featuring tourists' shark encounters have prompted local authorities to issue safety warnings in Playa del Carmen.

Erik had a day off yesterday so he went and dove Cenote Coop One for the first time. Absolutely beautiful cave with gorgeous limestone formations, restrictions, and keyholes. No camera because it was the first dive and the important things to focus on were cave diving technique and navigation. But pics and video will be made later.

When transporting a scuba cylinder, should you pick it up with the or***ce toward your hand or away from your hand? 🤔

Answer:
You should always lift the cylinder with the or***ce away from your hand, thus closing the handwheel while raising. Many divers don’t put much thought into how they lift their cylinders. If you pick it up with the or***ce toward your hand, this may open the handwheel as you lift, blowing high-pressure gas 💨 against your skin and possibly causing skin pe*******on and subcutaneous emphysema.
