Oasis Maya is looking for volunteers to help out with a project to prepare an educational space for the conservation and protection of "the Green Lung of Playa," located in Colossio 🌱🪴🌵

They are requesting the support of volunteers 💪 who know how to work in the manufacturing of wood furniture, such as chairs and small tables for children, as well as the construction of a polished cement floor.

*We will meet at 11:30am in front of DIF* (8calle, 30x35ave) to organize ourselves☆

The Soul Lab wants YOU to get involved and give back with them! Check out their impressive list of accomplishments already making a huge impact in Playa in such a short time 🙌🤍🙌🤍🙌🤍

☆♡The Soul Lab MEETS EVERY SUNDAY at Buzo's Restaurant located on Calle 26 in between 30 and 25 from 1-3pm! They are a free community that loves people like an action.♡☆

So far in 4 months, The Soul Lab has:

-raised the money to begin building a community school in one of the most vulnerable areas. 📚🖇
-began building the school. 🚌📖📝
-began teaching English to the police. ✏️📖👮‍♀️🚔
-began being represented by a council of expats for the first time in history. 👩‍❤️‍👨
-had one of their very own members (the amazing symphony conductor for Playa) Yohan Bach start a program to teach English through music to over 35 schools. 🎼🥁🎹
-began a community garden that it looks like city may fund so we can feed ourselves AND the people in a very at risk area. 🍋🍓🍆🥔🥦🥕
- helped (and continues to) support 18 mostly single parent families with daily needs, diapers, formula, etc. 👶👩‍👧
-helped support mental health and recovery groups every week, childcare provided. 🙏👶
-have organized with several restaurant owners so they will purchase our excess produce and we’ll give them a Protector of Playa badge for their website. 🍅🥬🌽
- been doing work to protect the mangroves, the last green lung of Playa. 🌱
-donated art to be auctioned for kids with cancer. 🎨🖼
-created a course on aquaponics with amazing group member, Efrain, whose family has raised stingless bees for as long as they can remember. 🐝
