Bobolink…
Bobolink might not seem like a superhero, but these little grassland birds have superpowers! Each year, they fly 12k miles roundtrip from South America to North America. In their lifetime, that's a distance equal to several laps around the Earth! 🌎

I have the best job in the world!
A couple of days ago we changed the day of the tour due to the arrival of hurricane Beryl....and....with lots of success!!!
Victor and Laishan decided to come back to this beautiful place and wanted to do another tour. In 2022 they already joined me on the "Rio Lagartos" tour and "Mayan Sites" tour....
This time we did the "History of the Jungle"...
Last week we had another wonderful day in Rio Lagartos with Allan Roffey and David Smith. David took these beautiful photographs of these wonderful bird-species.

Nature looks happy!
Hopefully Beryl will have mercy…
Such amazing creatures
Did You Know: Most adult sea turtles migrate between nesting sites, foraging areas and seasonal warmer waters. This migration can be hundreds and even thousands of miles.

Naturally beautiful!
Gracias Jesus Moo Yam Photowildlife for sharing!!!
Known for their elongated snouts and unique appearance, tapirs are essential for maintaining the balance of ecosystems. As "gardeners of the jungle," they help disperse seeds through their droppings, thus contributing to forest regeneration. However, tapirs face numerous threats, including habitat loss due to deforestation, poaching, and conflicts with humans.
Despite the constant dangers of tractor-trailers due to the construction of the Mayan train, the need to cool off in the "aguadas" has put the safety of this typical species at a critical point. I share this beautiful encounter with a pair of tapirs in the Calakmul reserve during my last assignment.

A few weeks ago I was contacted by Susanne de Bruin, a reporter from a great Dutch newspaper ad.nl (Algemeen Dagblad) with the question if I would like an interview. I obviously agreed and Susanne and her colleagues made this wonderful article.
I am very thankful and proud about it!

Curalotodo
