The National Association of Underwater Instructors (NAUI) is thrilled to announce our upcoming Northeast Leadership Conference. This initiative embodies our commitment to fostering excellence in scuba leadership instruction and enhancing diving education in our community.
We're incorporating a hybrid learning approach, featuring both in-person and online training. Our dedicated conference leadership team of NAUI Course Directors and Technical Examiners are geared up to ensure quality and consistency in all the courses.
From October 2 to 29, 2023, over two distinct programs, participants will gather at key locations and virtually in the Northeast U.S. and Eastern Canada for an immersive learning experience.
Both programs cover a comprehensive range of courses and workshops, including Divemaster and Instructor Crossovers, Instructor Trainer and Course Director Workshops. If you are looking to become a NAUI professional or want to continue your professional education journey there is something for everyone.

Isla de Cozumel, nunca olvidará su primera visita a la isla más grande del Caribe mexicano. Una vez que descubra el corazón y el alma de la isla —arrecifes de coral que son espectaculares, puestas de sol brillantes que pintan el cielo, playas que están hechas para relajarse, auténtica comida mexicana y cervezas heladas, y gente amable y atenta, lo entenderá por qué esta isla es tan amada por sus visitantes.
Una vez más, Cozumel México fue nombrado el mejor destino de buceo en general en el Caribe y el Atlántico, ¿una de las principales razones? Desde el momento en que llegue a esta isla bañada por el sol, sentirá la calidez de la hospitalidad de Cozumel. Esta isla paradisíaca es donde el buceo legendario, las tradiciones culturales y las actividades de ocio se combinan para crear unas vacaciones inolvidables.
Para los buceadores, todo comienza en el Arrecife Mesoamericano, el arrecife más largo del hemisferio occidental. Durante millones de años, la famosa arquitectura de los arrecifes de Cozumel ha sido tallada por la corriente: mientras recorre el laberinto de arcos, pináculos y grutas del arrecife, encontrará mucho que explorar. Los buceadores avanzados adorarán las inmersiones a la deriva llenas de adrenalina por las que Cozumel es famosa. A medida que desciende sobre paredes de coral como Santa Rosa y Palancar Deep, encontrará mucha acción donde el arrecife cae hacia el azul abierto.
Los arrecifes de media agua, como las cuevas de Palancar y el Paso del Cedral, son un área de juegos para buceadores. Las tortugas marinas, las rayas águila manchadas y los tiburones nodriza se encuentran a menudo en estos sitios. En los jardines de coral poco profundos bañados por el sol, los buceadores encuentran un lugar para quedarse; peces mariposa, peces loro y damiselas revolotean sobre los corales blandos y las esponjas, y las criaturas macro se esconden en las grietas del arrecife. Los amantes de los naufragios querrán bucear en el C-53, o Felipe Xicotencatl, un ex dragaminas de la Armada de México. Preparado como un arrecife artificial, el barco de 184 pies se encuentra en un fondo de arena blanca cerca de la bahía de Chankanaab.
