Black Sheep Brass Band is based out of Sonoma County, in the North Bay Area of California. Together, they have created thier own unique brand of California grown, 100% certified .
BSBB was recognized by the NPR Tiny Desk Concert Series as "purveyors of oversized sounds", and was invited to share the stage with the 2017 winners, Tank and the Bangas, during their Tiny Desk tour stop in Petaluma. BSBB has also shared the stage with these other notable acts: The Motet, Railroad Earth, MarchFourth Marching Band, The Polish Ambassador, Ayla Nereo, among others.
With horns, saxophones and drums that get people movin' and groovin' on any occasion, BSBB has continued to receive recognition for their funky, original tunes. In 2017, the band finished their original EP (funded by winning the Creative Sonoma Grant). Their first full length album, "The Ram, Ewe Love", is slated for release March 4th, 2022, and will showcase a unique brass band sound yet to be heard in these rolling hills and on these shores
