Hi friends

As you know, Platos Con Amor is a community project in Todos Santos, founded by civil organizations to fight the hunger crisis suffered by the most vulnerable population in our beloved town.

My name is Jannine Castro and I would like to introduce myself as the new director of the non-profit organization “Platos de amor” (Plates of Love). I am originally from Tijuana Mexico and a few years ago my family and I moved to Todos Santos. I am thrilled to be a part of this organization and hope to continue the important work of feeding the neediest people and families in Todos Santos. I have been involved with nonprofits for most of my adult life and know how important community collaboration is in keeping an organization like this running and making a difference in the lives of our neighbors. I am happy to announce that Denise Gonzalez will continue to collaborate with the organization and Elisabeth continue to be part of the committee working unilaterally with me, we also have new members to this committee such as Ana de Lora and Victoria Dolores that we will continue to use the DIF building here in town as the "cafe" to feed the 30 people we serve on a daily basis. These meals are provided daily from Monday-Friday from 11pm-3pm.

City Hall of La Paz, BCS. ratified its support through the Secretary for Families Integral Development (DIF), as well as granting open doors to the program with a permanent space, and the agreement that one local government employee will assist in the food production.

This year 2022 and for 2023 the operation of this social program will depend exclusively on the donations from our supporters to keep the organization funded and the meals prepared and served to the people of Todos Santos who are in most need.
We rely on donations, so please reach out to us with your contribution, big or small. It is much needed and will go a long way.

The current administration of the executive committee is in development, growing admits of great challenges, which can only be met with the participation of the people of Todos Santos.

Today more than ever we are required to structure solutions. As a result of the scarce collection of food supplies and great lack of economic contributions, this summer our current list of more than 30 beneficiaries, among them; elders, people with disabilities, and single mothers. Face a high risk of not having the invaluable nutritious food from Platos Con Amor.

We are announcing a call to arms for support, effective on Monday October 03, there will be an extraordinary food drive collection at the DIF, our immediate goal is to collect cooking supplies to ensure next week's meals.

You can also send your voluntary contributions through PayPal or E-transfer, this way we can prevent urgent operational and administrative expenses. This will not be possible without the help of kind hearted individuals, when you help Platos Con Amor you are making a huge humanitarian effort in bringing compassion, love and hope for those who depend on us today!
