📣 Our club proudly participated in today's press conference, where the Penang International Science Fair (PISF) 2023 was officially announced by YB Tuan Jagdeep Singh Deo, Deputy Chief Minister II of Penang and Chairman of the Penang Science Cluster’s Board. The event also featured Dato’ Ooi Peng Ee, CEO of Penang Science Cluster, who highlighted the fair's significance.

🔨💡 We are excited to host the 3D Printed LED Table Lamp Assembly Workshop at PISF 2023, scheduled for November 25 & 26 at the SPICE Arena, Penang. This workshop offers hands-on experience in various electronic skills, including soldering, 3D printing, precision trimming, introduction to Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs), understanding of circuitry, and assembly mastery.

🤝 Proudly sponsored by Mini-Circuits, and in collaboration with 鍾靈獨立中學 Chung Ling Private High School and the Creative Electronics Club CLPHS, the workshop promises to be a highlight of the fair.

👩‍🔧👨‍🔧 During today's workshop demonstration, two talented students from Chung Ling Private High School's Creative Electronics Club, Low Zi Qian (刘子谦) and Rosainne Wong (黄柔薰), showcased their expertise in electronics and maker skills. This showcase was supported and witnessed by Mr. Koh Wan Leong (许文龙), Vice Principal of Chung Ling Private High School, and Ms. Sarah Koay (郭姝丽), HR Manager of Mini-Circuits Technologies Malaysia, demonstrating the collaborative spirit of the event.

Participants will be hands-on with activities such as:

🛠️ Soldering Skills
🖨️ 3D Printing Exploration
🔧 Hands-On Tubing
✂️ Precision Trimming
📚 Introduction to PCB (Printed Circuit Board)
🔌 Circuit Understanding for a deeper insight into electric circuits
🧩 Assembly Mastery using tools such as screwdrivers, screws, nuts, washers, and spanners to build a complete assembly.

The workshop offers an engaging, hands-on experience, functioning as a mini industrial production line. It guides students through the complete manufacturing process—from processing basic parts to assembling, testing, and finalizing the product.🔩🪚

Equipped with 18 diverse mechanical and electronic tools and featuring 17 different electronic components and parts. It's designed to empower children with practical skills while igniting their curiosity in engineering and electronics.💡🔥

To promote the importance of punctuality in our school, our club has developed large digital clocks⏰, which have been placed around the school. This project took a total of six months to complete⌛.

We have created a total of three clocks, each installed in the auditorium, canteen, and lobby respectively. 🏫

These clocks have greatly helped students and teachers to manage their time effectively. With requests from the school, we have also installed a sound system in the canteen that is controlled by the large clock.🔊

The next level of the 2023 CEC Newcomer Introduction Class teaches Year 1 students how to use a breadboard. They have successfully learned to use LDRs, 555 Timers, and other components in this course. 🛠️💡

Introducing the fundamentals of electronic circuits to our Year 1 students at the 2023 CEC Newcomer Introduction Class.

Utilizing copper tape, students have successfully constructed basic LED circuits. 🔌💡

On September 23, 2023,our club collaborated with the Science Club to host a Water Rocket Competition! ⚗️🎉

From the moment the water rockets soared into the sky to the breathtaking heights they reached, this event showcased the power of teamwork, innovation, and education. 💡📚

With the support of the Science Club, participants gained knowledge, resources, and guidance, igniting their passion for exploration. 🔬🚀

The 4th Science Fair of Chung Ling Private High School, held from September 14th to 15th, 2023! 🎪Our club was thrilled to be a part of this engaging event, where we showcased our passion for science and innovation.

This science fair attracted students not just from our school, but also from 13 different primary schools.💡

Three teams from our club participated in the STEM Innovation Showcase 2023, held at Han Chiang High School on the 25th and 26th of August.

🏆 Team EUUAV, with their economic utility unmanned aerial vehicle, successfully won the Champion prize.

🥈 Team TRESS, creators of the thermal radiation electronic supply panel, earned the 1st Runner Up prize.

🚗Team RFID Car Park was honored with the Best Commercial Potential award.

This year's National Secondary School Programming Contest (第三届全国中学生程式设计竞赛) finals took place at Hin Hua High School on September 1st, 2023. 🏫🎉

60 teams and 180 students from across Malaysia competing for the NSSPC finals. Our club members achieving the excellent award, ranking among the top 10 teams in the NSSPC 2023 Finals! 💻🏅

Young Innovators Challenge 2023 Penang State Maker Faire, held at INTI International College Penang on 23th of September.💡🏫

Our members, Khor Wei Heng, Lee Guan Hong, Jeff Tan won the Silver Award in the competition.🥈🎉

To improve our members' presentation skills, we jointly organised the impromptu presentation workshop with CLPHS English Elocution Mastery Club on the April 15, 2023. An experienced facilitator guides all club members in mastering the key elements of impromptu debate, from constructing compelling arguments to delivering them confidently. 🗣️🎤

Members of both clubs benefited greatly by gaining valuable insights, practice and socialising with new friends. Members from both clubs learn the art of persuasive speaking, effective rebuttals, and quick thinking through fun and interactive exercises. 🧠📚

Celebrate the 105th anniversary of Chung Ling High School. ✨🎉 From December 16 to 18, 2022, we proudly showcased our school's rich history through an engaging academic exhibition. The Creative Electronics Club played an active role in this celebration, setting up three unique booths across Chung Ling Private High School and Chung Ling National High School. 🏫🌟

At our booths, visitors explored our club's diverse courses and activities, experienced the vibrant atmosphere of our makerspace, and even got hands-on with assembling and soldering activities. 🛠️💡

We were thrilled to have prominent figures from Penang, along with enthusiastic students and alumni, join us in commemorating this special occasion. We also gave visitors the chance to grab some commemorative badges in honor of the school's magnificent 105-year journey. 🤝🔧

We were delighted to be a part of this milestone celebration and look forward to many more years of fostering creativity and innovation at Chung Ling. 🎓🎊
