TCM tips to combat heat exhaustion🥴🫠🥵

𝗧𝗖𝗠 𝗧𝗶𝗽𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗸𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗘𝘅𝗵𝗮𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝘁𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗸𝗲

Heatstroke is a serious condition that can cause damage to your organs and even death. According to traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), heatstroke is caused by excessive summerheat pathogen invading the body that disturbs the balance of yin and yang. To prevent heatstroke and heat exhaustion, we suggest some tips and tricks such as:

🎐 Drink plenty of fluids, especially water, herbal teas, or soups that can replenish your body's fluids and electrolytes.
🎐 Avoid spicy, greasy, or fried foods that can increase the heat and dampness in your body. Instead, eat more cooling foods such as watermelon, cucumber, mint, or mung beans.
🎐 Wear loose-fitting, light-coloured clothing that can help you stay cool and comfortable. Avoid wearing dark colours or synthetic fabrics that can trap heat and moisture.
🎐 Stay in a well-ventilated or air-conditioned environment during the hottest hours of the day. Avoid direct exposure to sunlight or hot winds that can deplete your body's yin energy.
🎐 Apply acupressure or massage to certain points on your body that can help regulate your body temperature and relieve symptoms of heatstroke. Some of these points are: 𝗗𝗨𝟭𝟰 (at the base of your neck), 𝗟𝗜𝟭𝟭 (at the outer end of your elbow crease), 𝗣𝗖𝟯 (on the inner side of your elbow), and 𝗦𝗣𝟲 (three finger widths above your inner ankle bone).
