🔍【Can I dye/perm my hair during pregnancy?】

✅ The answer is YES!

Currently, there is no reliable evidence to suggest that hair dyeing or perming poses a risk to expectant mothers and their babies.

Research indicates that only 0.1%-0.5% of the hair dye is absorbed by the skin or hair during each dyeing process.

As long as hair dyeing is not done frequently, these small amounts of hair dye do not accumulate.

💡 Precautions for hair dyeing during pregnancy 💡

1️⃣ Choice of hair dye

G Atelier Hair Salon uses the Japanese brand Demi Toiroction Color, which is non-allergenic and has no irritating odors, making it very safe to use.

2️⃣ Avoid dye paste on the scalp

The hairstylists at G Atelier Hair Salon leave a 1-2cm length from the scalp during the hair dyeing process, preventing the dye from coming into contact with the scalp. Therefore, there is no need to worry about chemicals entering the scalp.

3️⃣ Take protective measures

During the hair dyeing process, it is essential to take protective measures. Wearing two layers of masks is recommended to prevent discomfort caused by inhaling odors, and efforts should be made to minimize inhalation of chemical substances.

4️⃣ It is best not to dye hair in the first 3 months of pregnancy

This period is crucial for embryo formation, and both expectant mothers and embryos are sensitive. Any slight negligence can affect the fetus, even leading to developmental defects. Therefore, as a precaution, it is advisable to avoid dyeing hair during the early stages of pregnancy; after the first 3 months, it becomes much safer.

目前并没有可靠的证据表明染发烫发会对准妈妈和胎宝宝造成危害。

研究表明，在每次染发的过程中，只有0.1%-0.5%的染发剂会被皮肤或毛发吸收。

但只要不是频繁地染发，这些少量的染发剂不会累积。

💡孕期染发注意事项💡
1️⃣ 染发剂的选择
G Atelier Hair Salon 用的是日本大牌 Demi Toiroction Color, 不会过敏、不会有刺激性气味，使用起来非常安全。

2️⃣ 避免染膏贴头皮
G Atelier Hair Salon 的发型师在染头发的过程中会空出距离头皮1-2cm的长度，不会让染发剂接触头皮，所以也不必担心化学物质会进头皮。

3️⃣ 做好防护措施
染发的过程中，一定要做好防护措施，建议戴两层口罩以防吸入的气味导致不适，也尽可能减少吸入化学物质。

4️⃣ 孕期前3个月最好不要染发
这个时期是胚胎形成的关键时期，对准妈妈和胎儿都至关重。此时准妈妈和胚胎都比较敏感，稍有不注意，就会对胎儿产生影响，甚至导致胎儿发育缺陷。所以为了以防万一，孕早期不要染发，过了前3个月，就会安全很多。

【How To Maintain Hair After A Perm】

✨Perms require a bit of care and specific types of products in order to maintain your hair’s health and the look you want.

1. Get Regular Trims 💇🏻‍♀️

Regularly removing damaged ends will help keep your hair looking and feeling healthy.

It is recommended to trim your hair once every half to two months, depending on how fast your hair is growing.

2. Avoid Heat Styling 🔥

Use other styling tools like irons, curlers, and blow dryers sparingly. Also, use a heat protection spray before using them.

3. Get the Right Products 💯

Get a good shampoo and conditioner that protect you against frizz, static and flyaways and those that help in prolonging your hair curls.

Try to avoid any products that are made with silicone, alcohol or Sodium lauryl/ laureth sulfate (SLS). Silicones weigh down on your hair, leaving it greasy and heavy. Alcohol dries your hair out leaving it brittle and frizzy and SLS deplete the naturally produced sebum that moisturizes your hair.

4. Dry Your Hair Correctly ☀️

It’s important to make sure you don’t towel dry your hair, as it can be very abrasive on your hair shaft, which can start to weaken your hair.

Blow dry your hair on low heat and make sure to install a diffuser - this helps distribute the heat rather than concentrating it in one area.
