A few days ago, when most of us were kind of overwhelmed with job deadlines, it was wonderful that our Legal Attachment, Ms. Tang Shin Jie, planned this badmintion session. Wholeheartedly concur that participating in sports is a good method to decompress.

We had our sports event for the month of June 24 at Rollerka, 1st Avenue Penang, followed by a midnight supper at Hai Di Lao, organized by our team's youngest member, Yi Heng. It felt like we were turning back the clock to our 18th year!

Jivitha, our Project Management Executive (Head of the Intellectual Property Department), discussed the importance of branding and safeguarding intellectual property with participants at the meet-and-greet session (Teluk Intan stop) organised by the Wedding Professionals Alliance Malaysia (WPAM).

WPAM is a community that brings together and empowers photographers, videographers, and various professionals in the wedding industry. Their main event will be held on 19th July 2024 at Bayswater, KLCC.

We are delighted to introduce Yi Heng who will be attaching with our firm until the end of next month. We keep making sure that every legal attachment benefits from our attachment program. Welcome to the team, Yi Heng!

Let's welcome Khor Zi Xin, who was with us as a legal attachment for 3 months last year, returned to our firm as a paralegal in November 23 after she secured her CLP, and is now our firm's first pupil-in-chamber.

We have a new team member, Jasleen John in our Corporate & Commercial Department.

During Jasleen's pupillage, she was exposed to civil litigation, specifically focusing on civil appeals, where she assisted senior lawyers. She has worked on mutual divorce cases, will preparation, probate, letter of administration cases and conveyancing matters.

Jasleen, who later developed a great interest and enthusiasm for corporate and commercial law, currently works in the Corporate & Commercial Department at Hng & Partners, assisting with a variety of corporate transactions.

The firm's CNY reopening day ended with an auspicious dinner gracefully.

Firm reopens on the 6th day of Lunar New Year. May all of us rise with the power of the dragon, achieving success at every step!

That concludes this! This year, we had our annual company trip at Stellar Golden Hill in Pahang, which was filled with joy and humorous events. An amazing journal reminiscence was captured on tape. We work hard to play harder together as a team, allies in professional achievement, goal motivators, and sources of inspiration for one another. There are still tonnes of thrilling yearly travels to come!

Please be informed that Hng & Partners' office will be closed from Wednesday, Nov 29th to Friday, Dec 1st due to our annual company trip. The business will resume on Monday, Dec 4th.

It gives us great pleasure to have been invited by MECA Employers Consulting Agency Sdn Bhd (Malaysia's Leading Employment Law Consultancy) to participate in the MECA HR / IR CONVENTION 2023 @ Amari Spice, Penang. On November 21, 2023, our Mr. Premkumar Danapal spoke on the topic of "Types of Employment - Understanding and Applying the Right Contracts covering the following main subjects:

Managers, HR professionals, and owners of businesses gathered for the two-day convention, which featured a range of lectures, discussions and panels on all related subjects pertaining to employment and industrial relations law.

On 23/10/2023, our Mr PK Leong, upon invitation, attended a ‘Zero Fake Certificate’ campaign at Juru Auto City, initiated and launched by MASVERSE Edutech Sdn Bhd in response to the widespread issue of counterfeit certificates in the country.

The campaign has a crucial objective, which is to promote the authenticity of certificates and contribute to the development of social sustainability.

The event was graced by the presence of Penang Green Council former vice-chairman Datuk Seri Phee Boon Poh, Kulim Industrial Tenants Association president Datuk P’ng Soo Hong, and other distinguished guests. The occasion also witnessed the signing of several Memorandums of Understanding between MASVERSE Edutech Sdn Bhd and their prominent collaborative partners, such as ReSkills EdTech, Penang Cultural Inheritors Society, UOW Malaysia KDU Penang University College, Sentral College Penang, XueDao Education, and Harfords Education.
