The YKLS Women's Chorus had a coaching session today with Ms Pawasut Jodi Piriyapongrat on their competition pieces. It was a very fruitful time. Tomorrow they will be competing in the Equal Voices Category of the Phnom Penh First International Choir Competition.

The 7 princesses of “Ulek Mayang”.

“Ulek Mayang” is a traditional Malay folk song that originated from the state of Terengganu in Malaysia. In the context of the song, “Ulek Mayang” is often associated with a traditional ritualistic dance to invoke the spirit of the mythical Mayang.

The will perform “Ulek Mayang” in Spice, Mystic and Magic, together with dancers portraying the 7 princesses, choreographed by Zhafir Muzari.
