E-Invoicing

To ease cash flow of taxpayers, a reduction in the capital allowance claim period from 3 years to 2 years will be granted for the purchase of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) equipment and computer software packages effective from the year of assessment 2024 to 2025.

Another round of voluntary disclosure programme (SVDP 2.0) was introduced.

Commencement : 1 June 2023 to 31 May 2024.

This programme covers both direct and indirect taxes and is available to all categories of taxpayers.

I think i should pen this down so we are reminded how efficient and united we are:

Our IT team managed to assign all the backup laptops to those who are using desktop in office, setup VPN for all of us, ensure everyone's anti-virus is still active and updated, troubleshoot the issues arise during these installation via video conferencing and whatsapp. Everyone was very cooperative and took initiative to help each other.

We go from semi-paperless to paperless in 3 days (18th - 20th). Not an easy task for where the work place is usually full of files and papers.

The admin/ HR team sanitised the whole office before we shut down.

We emailed all our clients to encourage them to scan documents for us to work from home. Office mobile phones are on standby mode, by 2 managers. But we encourage clients to email our division email address for easy monitoring.

These two weeks will be the start of a new revolution for MSMEs to further embrace digital workflow and taking it to the next level. Those who are slow to adapt will eventually phase out.

- 2 months grace period give to companies with YE July to November 2019
- WT, RPGT, CP500 that is due during the MCO period will be extended to 30th April
- SST payable in March given extension till 15th April
