Ardbeg Wee Beastie is the latest permanent expression to join the Distillery’s, Ultimate Range. At just five years old, Wee Beastie is a feisty young creature with formidable taste.

* Aroma: The first sniff alerts you to a nearby presence… heightened senses are filled with very bright, fresh herbal notes, with creeping hints of vanilla and pear. Rich Turkish coffee mingles with sappy pine resin, with honey-glazed ham lurking in the background. With water, more herbal top notes like vetiver and fennel captivate and pull you in, while beguiling scents of aniseed, green apple, and leather cause you to drop your guard. Out of nowhere, a sharp tang of smoke and a crack of fresh black pepper fire warning shots across the senses.
* Palate: Suddenly, a rich, explosive mouthfeel bursts forth with chocolate, creosote, and tar. A powerful blast of eucalyptus thrashes about with antiseptic lozenges and aniseed. The raw, smoky intensity gathers pace, before smoked bacon and savory meats sink into the palate.
* Finish: The long, salty mouthcoating finish retreats, with hints of cocoa and fudge slinking slowly away.

Exclusively matured in sherry hogsheads from Jerez, Spain, Arran Sherry Cask is an elegant single malt with rich layers of fruit and spice. Aromas of ripe figs, black cherries, cinnamon, crystallized ginger, and raisins fill the nose, and the palate offers notes of dark chocolate, figs, mandarins, and baking spices.

BenRiach 12 Year Old 2007 Single Cask. Mineral-rich water from the underground aquifer beneath the distillery is then used with the barley to develop BenRiach’s signature sweet mash also known as the ”Four Water Mash”.

. Colour: Deep old gold with a tinge of copper.
. Aroma: Delicious buttery sweetness, apricots, and red
peppercorns. Add a touch of water to reveal traces of lemon
soda.
. Palate: Soft wisp of gooseberry and golden pear. Allow the
whisky to breathe to unveil robust notes of ginger, spices, and
eucalyptus.
. Finish: An elegant soft finish with flavors of bitter orange, fresh

* Finish: Has a lot going for it; all the interesting notes. I still wanted it to be more temperate on my tongue, but I could sit and smell it for a long time

🔸Glenfarclas 105 Cask Strength🔸
A full 60% abv, yet the sweet, rich, spicy distillery character is still very much in evidence. It is wonderfully warming and with a lingering smokiness, yet very rounded.

* Nose: Great depth, Sherry. Creamy and nutty. Honey on toast, a touch of smoky coffee.
* Palate: Silken, spicy and peppery oak. Almond, praline, hazelnut, dried peels, fruity. Touch of Armagnac, a hint of rancio perhaps?
* Finish: Long, peppery and nutty.

‼️Glenrothes 15 Years Old Single Cask (CSS Edition)‼️

The spirit was distilled in 2003 and matured for 15 years in a first-fill American oak barrel that previously held Spanish Oloroso Sherry.

🔸Aroma: Sherry. burnt orange, leather, and a freshly opened packet of dried figs.
🔸Palate: Vanilla fudge and hot jam doughnuts, chocolate orange, and walnut biscotti. Clooty dumpling meets creme Anglaise. Adding ice or water just ruins it, keep it straight and enjoy it naturally.
🔸Finish: We wrote this last week and it’s still hanging around. Sweet sherry goodness mixes with leather and marzipan.

🔸Aroma: There are spices, and liquorice, as well as a big dose of salt. This whisky has become slightly sweeter in recent years, and it appears beautifully on the nose, amidst the classic iodine/sticking plasters and cool wood smoke we love.

🔸Palate: Seaweed-led, with a hint of vanilla ice cream and more than a whiff of notes from the first aid box (TCP, plasters etc). The oak is big, and muscles its way into the fore as you hold this whisky over your tongue. An upsurge of spices develops – cardamom/black pepper/chili.

🔸Finish: Big and drying, as the savoury, tarry notes build up with an iodine complexity.

Mars chose its high altitude location in the mountains for its moderate humidity and high-quality water. This blend consists of mostly malt and some grain. The whisky is aged in bourbon, sherry, and wine barrels.
